...had decided I wanted the Sony Ericsson T630 which was on sale for £130 but when I went to the sales assistant I was informed it was no longer in stock and showed me the Sony Ericsson K500i and told me this was the latest model as it only arrived on the day before I brought it, the original price was £150 but they sold it me for the price of the other Sony Ericsson so I decided to go ahead and buy it. The main problem I had when I went to put the phone together was trying to take off the back cover, it did not explain in the manual how to remove it but I didn’t want to force it off as I didn’t want to damage it but I was doing the right thing, you just use your nail and lift ...

The quality of the picture and graphics are amazing, to me it’s like a mini television. The layout of it is really simple to follow as well and includes a start up wizard to help guide you through. The good thing as well is the help is always stored on the phone so if you ever forget you can always go back and check. The layout reminds me of ...

Advantages: Quality, camera, brand, price, functionality Disadvantages: Neither bluetooth nor radio and appalling MP3 player capacity
...had been very impressed by Sony Ericsson in the past and found them better Nokias in the build quality, software, and style were all far superior. The K500i is also very cheap at a similar price to competitors less well-known and Sony Ericsson. I believe you can pick one up for around £80 on pay-as-you-go or from free on even the cheapest contracts.

The biggest advancements between the T610 and the K500 is that the camera quality ... ...good quality as with all Sony Ericsson phones with a good degree of crispness and a high number of colours. When I first came across this phone in the display of a shop window, I thought to myself that looks like a very nice and compact mobile phone. So I went in and checked it out and was assured it was top of the range by the shop assistant. The price was well within my range and I thought £85 was an amazing deal for a phone which appeared to have many great features. As I used it more it became apparent that it wasn't as good as it came across.
The ... ...it came to the picture quality, it was brilliant and took a very clear photo. Also when recording using the video function, it gave a great quality video. I found that when taking pictures the screen was also very helpful as I could see a wide area as the screen was a great size. It had other features such as e-mail, GPRS and infrared. I found the Infrared very inefficient as most people had Bluetooth. Also it could be said that when sending files ...

I've had my k500i for just under a year now, I got it as a replacement for a broken seimens S55. I had read the stats for the k700i and bought the k500i by mistake, basically missing out on bluetooth. Other than the lack of bluetooth though it's a nice little phone, it has a reasonable camera and can send pictures and take videos (though you can't send the videos and it definitely won't allow video calls). It came with a load of pretty good games, ... ...that these are as standard. The battery life is pretty impressive for this type of phone, I've seen it last 3 days without calls, I don't make many calls (I text most of the time thanks to a pre-pay O2 genie sim that gives me 300 free texts a month) so not sure about length of battery life when calling a lot. I do remember from experience in the past though that manufacturers stats for call time battery life are based on optimum signal and the battery ...

i bought this phone ages ago now id say a good couple of years and its great it has everything i need and a little more. its has a good camera, that takes photos an videos the videos are not the best things in the world though. you can record sound and make it asyour ringtone which is handy because the tones you get with a phone are rubbish and you dont want to spend money o a rubbish realtone either. it has games the games vary from phone to phone. ... ...with cool guitars and drums a stuff and when your bored it can really fill up ur time. apart frm that it has all the normal things to like calculator clock calender etc.....

Advantages: tonnes of features, nice style Disadvantages: no bluetooth, not much memory, the navigator button wears out with time
The K500i is a great quite cheap phone for what it has, it has mp3 player, video recorder, camera, colour screen and infrared. The colour screen is great, really bright and colourful. The Reception is good but like many other phones when in shops or underground it isnt too good. It takes about 3hrs to charge. Talktime is about 10 hours. Advantages: Easy to Use, Good Camera and video Disadvantages: Won't last for very long
If you can put up with not having bluetooth this phone has plenty of features such as a calender, java games and a decent media player. All of these functions work perfectly for about 10 months but after that I started to notice that the joystick needs a bit of an extra push to get it to work. This phone is very easy to use and has a lot of the same features of the T610 with a few minor changes. The phone unfortunately doesn't have blue tooth and i'm still struggling to send things via the infra red. The select button is on top of the back button and has the habit of reversing what you have just selected. If you just use the joy stick then this will not be a problem.
