However, in all the reviews of Sony Ericsson phones, one problem stood out: the joystick was very weak and was soon rendered useless. Needless to say, my initial budget of around ten pounds was pushed right up to sixty pounds and I bought the joystickless Sony Ericsson K530i with favourable reviews.

The physical aspects of this phone are nice and standard with nothing too fancy. The camera lens on the back is unprotected which isn't very wise - one's fingers touch it while holding the phone and it will also become easily scratched in this state. ...Constant updates and support from Sony Ericsson. BASS effect is very good and headphone clarity is very good. 5310 sound clarity messes up when equalizer is set and at full volume.
Well JAVA applications are well supported than 5310. For instance Opera JAVA edition installed with ease while it had troubles with my 5310.
The Firmware of K530i is strongly built while 5310 hangs for me when listening to music and messaging at same time 8/10 times. ... ...time is only 30-40 minutes when hearing to songs thru. speakers after fully charging the phone. But after full charge, K530i music playback lasted for nearly 4.5 hours with still two bars of battery left.
Also voice clarity in K530i is better than that of 5310 XpressMusic.
Though 5310 XpressMusic has dedicated music keys which initially attracted me, it is flimsy and 5310 performace is poor when compared with K530i. Though K530i has no dedicated ...

Advantages: Easy to Use, Hardwearing, never lets you down. Disadvantages: only a 2.o megapixel camera but not a huge problem.
In my opinion this is one of the most practical and trustworthy phones i have ever owned. I have had two years experience of using this phone and have never had any difficulties. It has an easy to use main menu, many features and an ability to chose from many themes for that ultimate customization. This is a very affordable and decent mobile which any person can buy. I have it personally with me. The camera is a two mega pixel camera and pictures are crystal clear as if we took it with a special camera. If you want to enjoy the music better buy the earphones related to walk man series. The design of this handset is phenomenal since it is both elegant and light weight. The layout of the buttons and etc are very well designed and the screen is of the right size as well. The music quality is awesome. even though the camera is not a cybershot it's still of good quality. 3G networking is not outstanding but it's not very bad either.. Anyway the phone is worth its price... Compared to phones like K550 and other Nokia, Motorola and Samsung ...

Advantages: The price! Disadvantages: a little short on some features
When I first saw the K530i, I was stunned ... stunned that such a good quality phone with an abundance of features could sell at such a low price!
I have had this phone for about 4 months now, and not one have I been disappointed with the purchase. I wish I could say that about so many of the other phones I had.
Sleek design, mine being a gun metal grey colour, with good sized buttons, good features, and small enough to be discreet in a back pocket ... ...withstand the normal daily punishments i subject it to.
Speaker quality for receiving phone calls is excellent, and is also great for playback of any media files.
Buttons are large enough to use with ease, especially when it comes to texting. No problems encountered when it comes to sending or receving SMS or MMS.
Battery life is excellent. I use my phone with Bluetooth switched on, and I still get a good average of about 48 hours on standby.

I always love Sony Ericsson and the k530i is the ideal phone for a 3g phone user. Its worth it for the price and has the most feature of a high end phone. I have been using my k530i for 1 year now and still it works like a charm.
