...has 12 icons. Like most sony ericssons. On the front you have two soft keys, the back key, the clear key and two shortcuts. You also have the navigation buttons and the the middle button has a contrasting green trim. But why I am reviewing my friend's phone...? Well you will soon know. The phone is a slider phone and has a 2.0 mega pixel camera that you see when sliding the phone open. This also reveals two little lights that also change according ... ...average phone really. A few clever tricks like red eye removal and 'Photo DJ', 'Music DJ' and 'Video DJ' you can play music at a fair level and put in your own M2 memory card. There is nothing complicated about this phone. So at £60 It sounds quite good, right? WRONG. So the reason I am reviewing this is that my friend bought it roughly a year ago, as I said. And the phone has completely failed. Half the keys don't work. She can't read texts. She ...

Advantages: Stylish, cool features, good quality camera Disadvantages: Not suitable for larger fingers, quite slow and sometimes crashes
I have owned the floral version of this phone (http://images.google.co.uk/images?hl=en&rlz=1C1GGLS_enGB291GB321&ei=jKciSsT4G5KsjAe82O2wBg&resnum=0&q=s500i%20flower&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wi) for roughly half a year. This phone comes in a variety of colours, such as black and green, white, yellow, purple and silver. However, I bought the limited edition Jemma Kid version, which is floral and aimed towards females. Apparently if you buy from the Carphone ... ...but I didn't receive this since I ordered mine online. This mobile still appears to be for sale on some websites, although it's not as widely available as the normal designs of this phone. The keys on this mobile are very thin and small and it took me a while to get used to texting quickly with them, but it's not much of a problem if you have smaller fingers. Before I bought this phone, I read many reviews about the keypad breaking and the phone ...

Advantages: Great Features Disadvantages: Memory Space
The Sony Ericsson S500i is the best phone that I have had, and I have had a lot of phones reasons why it is a great phone are shown below along with a few bad points but every phone has bad points this one has a little less than other phones.

The phones colour is fantastic, I have owned many phones, but this one is the best by far. The phone has a 2.0 mega pixels camera which is great for videos and pictures the effects that the photoDJ have are brilliant it allows you to add clipart in and change the contrast and brightness and also has red eye removal and a lot more. You can also take a picture in black and white, negative, ...

Lovin' it!
Had few problems when first got phone but this was due to network faults rather than phone.
S500i will defiantly turn heads. It is equipped with many features for the mobile phone user who is always on the go & wanting to stay in contact with friends, family & work colleagues.
The overall design & style of the phone I believe is inspired by nature which includes the colour of the handset, the internal patterns & materials used to create ... ...opening mechanism which when opened reveals the sleek keypad & natural design of phone. The phone comes with hidden light effects which brings the S500i alive when an incoming call comes in.
Has a large & clear screen which displays up to 262k colours on a 240 x 320 pixels resolution screen. The screen can be viewed when the S500i is in the slide open or slide closed position which provides for continuous viewing.

Advantages: Very stylish with quirky features Disadvantages: Small memory
I brought this phone two weeks ago and have been very happy with it so far. It didn't really take any setting up apart from putting in the time and date. It's also really easy to get the hang of, and although I did look through the manual I probably could have worked it.
Look
This phone is stylish, and certainly stands out, with its sleek black case with green keypad and back (also availible in yellow and silver). It also has lights down each side ... ...receiving a call, which can be varied for each caller. It also has a moving wallpaper which is nice, and can be set to change at random intervals (which I have it on, which is exciting as your never sure what it's going to show when you slide it open, and if you'll have butterflies across the screen or if it will be raining!) or it can be set to change at about 8 in the evening and again in the morning, or just be static.
Ease of Use

Advantages: Looks great, clear screen, lots of features Disadvantages: Need a screen wipe!
This phone is what you would call one aimed for the fashion conscious as it certainly looks the part. It is also packed with too many features to mention, I haven't yet looked at them all! It is available in 2 colours and when you receive a call, the whole thing lights up. This is more of a gimmick than a useful feature though. It is very light weight as well.
Its screen is very clear and high resolution and can view photos clearly. The built in ... ...detail, but they are still adequate. I have tried downloading songs from the download option available, where you can buy music tracks at the click of a button, but this could be easier to use and I found myself clicking the same thing twice! It probably also uses a lot of your Internet time and money just getting to the song! As for computer connection, this is one of the easiest phones to use as the PC recognises it as a portable device and all ...

Advantages: Visually stunning, a breeze to use, very pleasent to own Disadvantages: keys split!
I fell in love with this phone while I was shopping for a new phone. I saw the pictures and descriptions of it and I knew I had to have it. I will break this down into categories:
Looks/aesthetics: Simply stunning. Easily one of the most stylish and attractive phones out there. When closed, the phone is a tiny and compact slab of of reflective black with contrasting white edges. The colorful keyboard is revealed when the cover is slid up. The black ... ...serves as a slip resistant on hard surfaces. I saved the best part for last. When initially opened, the phone lights up with hidden leds that illuminate the sides of the phone as well as the keypad in dull light. The center ring also lights up in a bright green. The hidden leds can even be programmed to be any single or mix of many colors.
Use: Simply a joy to use. This phone has never crashed or frozen or whatever on me once, and I haven't turned ...

I like to store music on my phone and i find my memory card is constanly being not recognised, therefore i have to keep resetting my ringtone, and wall papers.
I have also had to send the phone into repair twice. The screen has gone funny ... ...The phone is not very reliable thats for sure.

Advantages: Easy to use, great setup, good music player, easy USB access, GORGEOUS handset. Disadvantages: No camera flash, cant rewind or fastforward music or videos, screen dirty quickly
...lol.
Secondly, the way Sony Ericsson have set up the phone's systems & day to day working, really is just so easy to use & work with. It has easy quick access to WAP, a pretty good camera/video recorder (although unfortunately, without a flash - meaning shooting in dark atmospheres in near impossible) But then again, a phone is a phone, you want a camera, go buy a damn camera...Also comes with a handy little video & photo editor ("DJ") which is ... ...the sound system whilst playing music is still pretty great, compared to most other phones I''ve had. Agreed, the memory isnt that huge, but it's not hard to go out & get an M2 memory card for it. I got a 1GB, and its more than big enough.
If you're prone to accidents(like me)it does seem quite delicate at times, i do get afraid its about to fall apart lol...but i have dropped the phone quite a few times, and although I dont recommend it LOL, it ...

I have owned this phone for 8 months now in purple. It is very attractive and people comment on how good it looks. It is easy to carry around and the slide function makes it easy to make and answer calls. The camera is very good on this phone. The disappointing thing is that there is a very small memory and requires a memory card if you would like to use it to store photos or songs on it.
A particular feature i like on this phone is the 'themes', ...

Advantages: Never had any problems Disadvantages: weak vibration alerts
I was deciding between this phone and a cybershot one, but i chose this one because its so much prettier! I have the purple version of this model (it comes in a variety of colour schemes including the black one in the above picture). I have found no problems with the design or keypad and my phone has never needed to go in for repairs (I've had it for 6 months so far). Advantages: Great looks, very good features Disadvantages: keypad cracks
My friend bought this a Sony Ericsson S500i during the last quarter last year. The style and looks are very impressive and the features as well. It's a very light weight phone packed with great features at only 94 grams in weight.
The Sony Ericsson S500i comes with a 2 megapixel camera, a video player, a trackID music recognition, an MP3 player as well as AAC, AAC+, and eAAC+, as well as a built-in handsfree.
It has a 2 inches, TFT, 256K colors ... ...memory is not large enough to store you files but the unit comes with a card slot for a Memory Stick Micro (M2 so you could store more pictures and your favorite music files as well.
