Advantages Advantages Light, reliable(most of the time), and has so many features.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can get its own way sometimes, turning on and off when it wishes

I got fed up with the pay as you go mobile phone service, so I decided to get a contract phone. News papers have the service advertised daily. However, I was told by a friend to go with "Phones 4 u", on Vodafone network. Previously I was on Vodafone anyway and have always been satisfied with the service. I chose to have the Ericsson T10s phone. Not only is it lightweight and reliable, like most other Ericsson phones, but it also has a huge range of features. * An opportunity to customise your phone with with a range of Ringtones. * Add your own ringtones. * Set the alert volume of sound. * ... more

I bought my Ericsson T10 on ebay for about £26.00.I was fed up with Nokias and wanted a little diffrent as ta the time the Nokia 3310 was my only phone.I was first considering a Bosch and thendecided the T10 would be better for me as it has a few more features and a little smaller than the Bosch. I recieved the Ericsson T10 without a mark on it.The phone was hard to navigate my way through the menu at first as i was used to Nokia's menu system. The Ericsson has quite a poor amount of features compared to the Nokia phones at the same price as the T10.The Ericsson had the following features ... more

3 Stars HOT ear piece 06/01/2001
    User recommends the product

Advantages Advantages small, flip protected buttons

Disadvantages Disadvantages ear piece hots up on long calls

THIS phone gets hot after long use and leaves my ears burning...not a good thing, so only suitable for occasional users. On the plus side it is small and in this low end market, few are this small, though it has a heavy battery and makes the unit weigh down a shirt pocket. The bright colours are an acquired taste, and the flip is not active, only a problem if you have moved from a phone with an active flip...don't forget to hang up! I don't have large fingers but find the buttons too small, and as they are hard plastic, they are slippery too, even more hard to press..at least with one hand ... more

    Advantages Advantages Free and reliable

Disadvantages Disadvantages Hard to hear other person

The T10s is probably the best 'free' phone available, until the T28 comes onto this market at an equal price. It is a rugged phone - my neighbour dropped his into a pint of lager and it was fine after a day on the radiator - which will survive most accidents. It comes in five funky colours, of which dark blue seems most popular (although I had no choice) and utilises a flip front, although this doesn't house the microphone. It checks network availability regularly and informs the user of the call status using helpful phrases such as 'dialling' or '3 missed calls'. It also has some good ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap, easy to use, good looking, make your own ringtones

Disadvantages Disadvantages Unreliability issues around battery

...and the blue and purple ones are not particularly pleasant either. However, having got a more sober looking grey one about a year ago I have had a year's worth of use on the one2one network, and not felt embarrased about carrying it around. On the plus side, this phone has a cover over the keys meaning that it'll never accidentally call someone when in your pocket or bag. It allows you to compose your own ring tones, enabling you to share (inflict) your musical prowess on the world and ensuring that you'll always have a distinct (and to your ears, tasteful) ringtone. The three line screen ... more

Advantages Advantages easy to use, rugged

    Disadvantages Disadvantages short standby time

The big problem with the T10 is its limited standby time - 65 hours. I like the flip phone style (especially after hearing stories of people whose phones dialled out while in their pockets and cost them a fortune) and its small enough without being flimsy. Navigation through the menus is easy enough and functionality is good (though restricted on the One to One pay as you go service). Watch out for the antenna snapping off - a sizeable expense and probably as easy to get another phone. The battery on mine died after a bout 6 months use - I suspect it was a Thursday afternoon job - and a ... more

Advantages Advantages Great looks and features

Disadvantages Disadvantages Short battery life and signal strength

The t10s is a little beauty. I purchased mine in the purple colour, but have since had a transparent cover put on it. If you want any help etc about the phone you can email at yorkie69@hotmail.com. They are affordable with some great deals going if you shop around. The are very small and compact, but still have all and more than the usual phone features. address book, messaging, calculator, alarm, 2 spaces where you can compose your own ringtones, vibration option, call info e.g. length of last call time etc. It contains all the usual stuff about networks, keylocks and barring, but that is on ... more

    Advantages Advantages Small, cheap, trendy

Disadvantages Disadvantages buttons difficult to use

The first thing that attracted me to this phone was the funky range of colours it came in. It's small and cost effective and looks really cool. I found it very simple to use and the menu is easy to figure out. The only drawback about this phone is the buttons. Sometimes it can be frustrating when sending a text message as it often misses a letter. However, for people who don't have hundreds to spend on a cool phone, this is definately the one to buy. It's trendy, stylish and above all, cheap! ... more

Advantages Advantages Key Pad Lock automatically after 30 secs

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

I initially chose this phone as an upgrade from my Nokia because of the size (can fit in the smallest handbag or jeans pocket!!) and because I loved the colours. After using my blue T10 for just a week I was so impressed that I bought one for my mum. I also loved the purple colour and knew mum would too!! She was so taken with it that she bought a pink one as a present for my sister. The phone is easy to use, stylish and has an excellent sound quality. I have never experienced a loss of signal and the battery life is easy to live with too. Although I consider this basically a "Girlie Phone" I ... more

Advantages Advantages Small. Durable. Easy to use. Many functions.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Slighty slippery.

You know those students walking around on their lunch break talking on their phones? Well I'm one of them. And as a student one of my main aims is to appear 'cool' among my peers, and with a sexy piece of equipment like this it's no trouble at all. But beauty is only skin deep, is the Ericsson T10s deep, involving and intelligent, or a merely a hollow shell of a mobile. Luckily for me and my cash strapped wallet (only £40 with connection to Orange Just Talk with a free £10 voucher), it's the former. This little baby has a back lighted 3x11 screen and input keys and enough room to store 100 ... more
