...phone. What is it with Sony Ericsson? Why do they have to have a strange little contraption that gets bent out of shape if you're not careful? Why can't they be like everyone else and have a simple metal pin? Granted after a few tries you get used to it, but it's totally not necessary in my opinion. Overall: PROS: - Cheap - Small/lightweight - Easy to use - Good games - Large SMS capacity - Clear signal/line here and America - The usual ...

...for the business market. Sony Ericsson T68 and T68I models - Again it was the cost that put me off at over £300 for a handset only or currently T68 £29.99 and £69.99 for the T68I on 02 £13.99 per month contract which includes 600off peak 25x network and 50sms per month from www.e2save.co.uk . The reason I did not buy this is that two days after I bought the T200 the prices dropped. If this had happened before hand I would have gone for this handset, ...

Sony Ericsson should have done better with this handset. **Update 06 November** Please bare in mind that I wrote this op in September and have been waiting for ciao to give me some where to stick it. Sony have got it wrong with this phone and I found this out when I really needed to use it. I did take the phones back as the two handset were as poor as each other. I have now seen a lot of other people saying the same ...

Ericcsson not Sony. Functions not Features.

Advantages: Light in weight, Easy of use, Add-ons
Disadvantages: Few features, Ringtones

...couple of months with a Sony prior to using the T200, this phone is certainly an Ericcsson. Ericcssons usually concentrate on function rather than features. The T200 is no exception. One has to assume that the software inside the phone is an improvement on the often "buggy" Ericcssons of the past and this is an advantage. To an Ericcsson user, this phone is very intuitive to use. The T200 has adopted a few styling cues from the Nokia range as ...
...words as you type. Unlike earlier Ericcssons, this model has 3 menu language options (English, French, German). No good if you share the phone with your Swedish girlfriend or Italian boyfiend. There are a few (unimpressive)games on this phone, but this phone is really all about making phone calls and sending / receiving text messages. (The games are only really of any interest when waiting for a bus and there is no one left to text!) I chose the ...

A good effort.

Advantages: Blue screen, small, funky, nokia this ain't!
Disadvantages: Did I mention its not a nokia.

I've had this phone for almost one year now. When I first got it I hated it (I have a liking for Nokias)but it's beginning to grow on me. The T200 has no special features as such, just your bog standard mobile, but that's what some people want in a phone; just a reliable device that you can make calls on. There are no 'real' problems with this phone, its always worked perfectly for me. A few annoying things: The lack of ringtones and logos. The ...
...get annoying at night with its constant flashing. The small keys. That said its still a great little phone. Clear calls, reasonable battery life, good reception (i'm on O2). I've always been a Nokian but fancied a change. To me it doesn't offer anything different from a Nokia (which you can probably pick up a little cheaper and has a wider selection of downloadables i.e. games, ringtones etc.) But that's my personal preference. If you're not bias ...

Cute little number

Advantages: Light & compact with fun features
Disadvantages: Memory can get full quickly

I got this phone about 4 months ago and am generally very happy with it. Lets get the moans out of the way first: The memory can fill up quite quickly, which means you can't read new messages until you've deleted some old stored/unsent/sent messages. Its particularly irritating to keep deleting your sent items. (Or is that just me?) I can get quite frustrated with the texting on this phone - (I never use the predictive mode). The keys are soft ...
...haven't exactly got the fastest fingers in the west, but I still have to wait for it to ‘catch up’. If you type a letter on the same key - e.g. 'Hi' you have to wait for the H to be accepted before typing the I (the phone displays the characters available and if you arrow through or press again another is selected) ... I think other people have experienced this, but the phone can turn itself off. Perhaps when its not being used for a ...

Stay away from the phone

Advantages: size, price, durability
Disadvantages: poor signal, poor reception, lack of advanced features

When I first got this phone (an inheritance from my mother, who moved on to a much nicer Nokia 6100), I was thrilled. It had everything my old phone, a tiresome, bulky Motorola, did not. The menus were fairly straightforward, it had games, a couple of ringtones, and a multi-lingual dictionary. It even had a nice, sleek appearance and was relatively lightweight. I was in heaven. However, the honeymoon period soon wore off. Yes, I enjoyed the fact ...
...easily as well as the fact that the phone was small enough to fit into my jeans pocket, but something wasn't right. The phone actually hindered my ability to call people. The list of grievances are numerous: poor reception quality, frequent loss of signal, loss of network, a vague message that says "SOS calls only," and problems connecting to people's phones (which results in a very loud and sometimes painful "BEEP" in my ear). I've gone from loving ...

Small and easy to use, but NO colour screen

Advantages: Fun games, original design
Disadvantages: Reliability, no colour screen, restricted features

...Introduction ***** I bought the Sony Ericsson T200 (the blue version, not the black american model) in December 2002, and straight away bonded to it. But, as time went on, I found that it was quickly being overtaken by a number of Nokia models, which is the reason it never really took off. It was brought out at the wrong time to make any real impression, making it a rather uncommon phone at present, used by relatively few people. ***** Advantages ...

The story after 3 months use

Advantages: Stylish, compact, cute.
Disadvantages: A little bit girly in style.

So here's my story of the phone. I've had it since November, three months now. Over all I'm satisfied with it. Its small, which is good, although not so good if hunting round the bottom of your bag, frantically trying to find it. Its a good coluor, metallic blue, although its called "ice blue". It is harder wearing than other phones i have had in the past. previous phones i've had fall apart when dropped, I've dropped this few times already, but ...
...battery holds its charge extremely well in my experience, I can use it for only short phone calls, and text messages and the battery last usually no less than five days in total. I expect that with time and with more frequent use the time would decrease. The features of the phone are fun, if u like novelty features this phone has it's fair share, with a choice of which picture you can have on your screen, visable at all times. also some lovely little ...

Pretty, ambitious, but slow.

Advantages: Nice looking, light and packed with features.
Disadvantages: Very slow, and confusing menus.

The sony ericcsson T200 is a nicee looking phone. It's light and relatively small. It does have lots of features too. It can handle picture messaging, and store loads of SMS's, tri-band, its got a nice easy to use WAP browser, and lots of extras like being able to have a individual ringtone for each caller, and also being able to have their picture pop up when they call! This all comes at a price though... it's slow. If you want to delete a message: ...
...you want to change settings: slow. And the menus are a little confusing too... they haven't made the commonly used features like text messaging and address book any easier to access than any other feature such as the timer, or language settings. And the little blue button that looks as if it could be really useful? Its not. It has one function, access the WAP. Another good feature is the availability of accessories... you'll never get bored, just ...

My Sony-Ericsson

Advantages: small, reliable, nice
Disadvantages: menu is not so userfiendly

I used to be a convinced Nokia fan, but I found out there are other good mobile phones as well. I have my Sony-Ericsson now more then a year and I am very pleased with it. What I like: The most important thing for me: battery last long, I charge my phone about ones a week!!! Never had a phone like this before. I also like the color, cause blue is my favorite and that was decisive when I bought it. It is true, it does turn it's self off from time ...
...where it happens from time to time that the power button is kept pressed down... so it's not really the phones' fault. Otherwise it's easy, it's handy, it has 5 nice games, WAP etc. What I don't like: If someone calls you, but you don't talk to that person, you cannot save the number directly, but have to enter the menu to add the contact. Also you cannot send the same message to several people, unless you create a group (which by the way is limited ...

Ericsson T200

Advantages: Small size, lightweight, durable
Disadvantages: Extremely annoying text messaging

First things first. You should not buy this phone if you do a lot of text messaging. Even if you like Ericsson phones. It is a perfectly good phone for calling people with, which, you could argue, is what phones are for. But this phone tries to pass itself off as a phone ideal for messaging. This is quite simply not the case. It has hardly any extra space for text messages ,and text input is just far too slow, especially if you're used to Nokia phones. ...
...a phone as cheap as this, but it is in my opinion quite useless on such a small screen. However, it is still a fully functional telephone, and the speaker seams to be of good quality, and reception was good anywhere I took it. If budget is a priority and you need neither bells nor whistles, then I'm sure you could do worse than this. Otherwise keep away. ...
