Advantages Advantages Vibrating alert (ooh-er!), lots of ringtones, WAP capable

Disadvantages Disadvantages No pedictive text messaging, cannot get ringtones via SMS.

Let's be honest with each other. How many of you use all the features you have on your mobile phone? I know most phones these days have got 20,000 different ring tones, vibrating alert, the ability to send text messages to 10 people at the same time, predictive text messaging, a diary containing 100,000 names and numbers (OK, a slight exagertaion, but you know what I mean!) oh, I nearly forgot, lots of games and some even have WAP, but how often do you use the vast majority of these features? The answer is probably not very often. A mobile phone is mainly used for making and receiving calls ... more

No – this is actually under the correct product heading. I’m talking about the Ericsson T20 mobile phone, sorry to mislead anyone. Background to the Purchase -------------------------- My partner, David, and myself are both ‘Nokia People’ through and through, but when David decided to purchase a new mobile, he decided after much deliberation (and I’m talking MEGA deliberation here – and they talk about women choosing a new pair of shoes!!) he decided to be radical and plumped for the Ericsson. He wanted a change from his prepay (an expensive option in my ... more

Advantages Advantages Small, compact, light, great facilities

Disadvantages Disadvantages small screen for a WAP phone

After 2 apalling, ugly, useless pre-pay mobile handsets i decided it was time to change both my present handset and to upgrade as a pay monthly customer as this is MUCH cheaper. I thought that choosing a new mobile phone would be very complicated as there is more of a choice with pay monthly handsets than there are with pre-pay handsets but i knew i wanted a flip phone that was small, light and had dozens of features and that's when i saw this baby and decided i had to have it there and then. The phone is ultra lightwieght at just 127 grams and is very smal and compact. It comes in a variety ... more

    Advantages Advantages Light, Features, Small

Disadvantages Disadvantages Donkey D**k Aerial (Ha Ha Ha)

Before I bought this phone I had a Motorola V100 or V.box which was an excellent phone but it unfortunately got stolen. This phone I checked out before I bought because I've been stuck with a few dodgy phones in the past. The website gave me all the information about the features of the phone and all the other technical stuff. I was happy enough with all the information and I went to buy it. As I'am a lazy ba**ard I bought this phone from my mums catalogue at £89.99 which is not a bad price considering that this was about 3 months ago and its from a catalogue which normally rip you off. I ... more

Advantages Advantages Haven't found any yet

Disadvantages Disadvantages 'Maybe' they will respond to their customers

I asked Ciao to include Customer Services as a category under Personal Communications as I wanted to let people know of my experience with Ericsson customer services and I didn't want to distort the opinion I had written about a phone. Ok, from the start....I bought a T20 phone back in December - the phone itself is great (see my opinion for further details - plug!) but the problem is the charger. From the very start I had a feeling the charger would break (call it female intuition!) - it is quite delicate and cheap in design. So I wasn't really surprised when 2 weeks ago it fell apart. I ... more

Advantages Advantages Small, easy to use

Disadvantages Disadvantages Big aerial, not as many features as other handsets

Admitedly, i only bought this phone because it had a flip down front. But having had for a while, i am really glad i paid the £100 for it. I have it on a pay as you go contract with Orange which is why the price is so high. The first thing i noticed was the menu. As with most phones you scroll down a list of options such as settings, numbers, etc... But the main menu is a row of seven pictures, and when you select one of them (using the up down keys on your keypad) the option title is shown beneath them. | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | |------------------------| || I thought this was very unique ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages Chunky and has terrible buttons

Model: Ericsson T20e Tomb Raider Height (101mm) Width (54mm) Depth (28mm) Weight 128g This was the Tomb raider phone which was released when the movie hit the big screen last July. It was bundled in an attractive box which displayed Lara Croft and the Tomb raider symbol. It contained the phone, the lithium-ion battery (apparently it’s the best kind of battery so the nerds have told me), a £3 phone card, nice silver (plastic) hands-free kit, Tomb raider Chronicles PC game, battery recharge adaptor and a fun booklet. The booklet was aimed more at the younger audience and gave them the chance win ... more

Advantages Advantages stylish, features galore, small, alternative

Disadvantages Disadvantages small screen, a bit slow, breakable flip?

Amongst the huge plethora of mobile phones around today it is damn hard to find one that can tend to your every desire AND look stylish. Ive had my T20 for 3 months now and i wouldnt swap it for any other phone on the market. Everyone bangs on about Nokia phones and how amazing they are. When i decided to get a new phone i was torn between a Nokia 3310 and the T20. 90% of the people i know own a Nokia phone (the 3210) so i thought id have something a little different. i had heard stories about it being impossible to manage and the ease of use was not up to scratch. i do feel that this is ... more

Advantages Advantages Great looks, compact, fun games, T9, battery life, excellent value for money, fairly unique

Disadvantages Disadvantages No express on covers

The Ericsson T20 is a fantastic mobile phone. It hasn’t been hyped up, and at the moment relatively few people have it which makes it more appealing. Many of my friends thought it was a contract phone but was is also available as prepay as well. At first site the grey exterior is a little boring I admit, and you cannot snap on any fascias either. Nonetheless it is a very small, sleek and sexy compact mobile phone. As I say so far the most appealing thing is that not everyone has it yet unlike the Nokia 3210 and 3310 which is as common as muck! The screen may look as big compared to many ... more

Advantages Advantages lOADS OF FEATURES, VOICE DIALLING

Disadvantages Disadvantages SMALL BUTTONS, NOT MUCH GOOD FOR THOSE OF YOU WITH BIG FINGERS!

I recently bought the Ericsson T20e with the Tomb Raider gift pack from Argos FOR £89.99 on ONE2ONE. All this basically was was a silver handsfree kit and a Tomb Raider game in addition to the charger and phone. When I opened the box, I was amazed at the size of the phone - it is tiny, especially after I had been using a Nokia 5110 for a year. The phone is so small and light it is actually possible to forget you are holding it!! The flip front, unlike on the T10 answers a call and also acts as a handy cover for the keys. As paule23 says in his extremely interesting and useful op "And just what ... more
