Advantages: Attractive, easy to use Disadvantages: Small memory
The Sony Ericsson v600i is a smart, funky and sleek looking phone, albeit slightly podgy as well, that is easy to use.The design is similar to other models available, and reeks of Sony Ericsson, although this is not a bad thing. The joystick in the centre of the phone makes it a breeze to get to where you want to go, whether it be your contacts, text messages, the internet or a more obscure choice. The buttons themselves are solid and a good size ... ...the button located on the side makes connection to the internet an instant action. One note of caution however; approximately 10 weeks after purchasing the v600i, the joystick started to mess up. It would sometimes not respond at all, or if it did, think I was either pressing a different direction or pressing it in to select something. A frustrating problem, and one I'm not sure whether it was my fault or not.
The inbuilt camera, automatically activated ...

Advantages: Light, easy to use, good looking Disadvantages: Camera not very good
Without a doubt the best phone I have bought to date.
This phone is amazing.
I read many reviews before getting this phone and most of them were good. The odd couple complained about the sound, I have never had this problem.
The phone is extremely light, funky in style and a comfortable size. Some people look at the phone and think.. 'Well is just a block'. I would say wrong. It looks good but above all it is comfortable to use and fits into the ... ...live with 3G

Okay...
The phone comes with many features although there are some problems here.
The camera does not take extremely good photos but they are decent. A light is available to brighten up the room for a better picture however ...

Advantages: Quick camera. Decent size, Not too small. Excellent screen Disadvantages: Poor volume on playback. Too many 'clever' buttons. Lack memory card
...take it back. Lucky for Sony ericsson, I didn't buy this phone for it TV playback. Again though, the screen and fluid display rescues the 3G TV option.
Reception:
If I were a phone designer I would rate reception quality fairly high on a list of priorities for a PHONE. Sony ericsson, don't. Phones I had 2 or 3 years ago, had similar or better reception quality. Calls are, when reception permits clear and audible, the tiny speaker for your ear means ... ...to make a call, no one will be able to hear the other persons side of the conversation, as the 'pinprick' guides the sound into your ear only. Games:
Games on this phone are fast, responsive and the graphics are intensified by the great display.
Battery life:
I can only assume that the battery I was given with this phone was a dud, judging by the good reviews by other users. Mine lasts maybe 2 days with little use.
With hindsight, if id been ...

Advantages: Attractive appearance, ease of use Disadvantages: small memory not expandable
...having seen or used a Sony Ericsson phone for many years I was not quite sure what to expect with this one. My last Sony Ericsson was well old and had very few features, not even a colour screen!
First impressions of the v600i were good, I took it out of the box, it looked the part, shiny, modern and sleek. It has all the usual features and the menus are nicely presented.
I was concerned that the camera is only 1.3 mega pixel but the picture quality ... ...lens cover on the back of the phone. I found that if I was not careful I would catch the cover when carrying the phone or putting it in my pocket or bag and this makes the camers come on and wastes the battery. The battery, however, does have quite a good life on it for a 3g phone.
The key pad buttons can be small and fiddly to start off with, at least that is what i thought but I do have chunky fingers, but like anything new, you get used to it ...

...currently waiting on help from Sony Ericsson which has taken a while (2 months at the last count). I think that the Camera, Video and MP3 player are great with good clarity and options to edit the pictures but you can only have a limited amount of memory and no memory card with this model so if you are looking for an MP3 player mobile I would get another model and the same goes for pictures and video. ...

Advantages: Ease of Use, durability Disadvantages: Dissappointing Camera, minor annoyances
...Overall i have found the Sony Ericsson V600i a very useful and practical little phone, it far exceeded my expectations. The battery is very small, but has extrordinary life, i have went weeks without needing to charge my phone. It's refreshing to know that i'm not going to run out of battery when i most need my phone. There are almost too many features to list, but trust me it is crammed with them! My favourite feature of this phone is the large ... ...the streaming of tv direct onto the phone. This feature has kept me busy on many boring commutes. Navigation around the phone is easy with a central joystick and easy to use menu systems. Everyting is arranged neatly and logically, so getting around this phone is childs play. My one dissappointmet with the phone is the camera, a 1.3megapixel. Although the photos are still of high quality, the phone would have benefitted from a better quality camera, ...

Advantages: Stylish, customizable, easy to use Disadvantages: Camera not great, memory not expandable
I bought this phone refurbished about ...maybe 2 years ago, and it is still going strong, although starting to look slightly dated compared to new phones. It is starting to look quite chunky.
It is a great looking phone, black and silver, with a simple layout making it easy to text and get around the menu, using the joystick. I don't personally like the "quick keys" at the side of the phone as if you catch one you end up loading the internet, etc, ... ...animated themes and ringtones, and can be used as an MP3 player, although the memory is small and you can't expand it unfortunately. Battery life is pretty good, I can use it for a few days, (and I text a lot!) before it dies. Durability is very impressive, as I have managed to drop it 100's of times, and even dropped it down the toilet on one occasion and managed to dry it out and it works fine!
Camera isn't very good and pictures come out quite ...

Advantages: High quality typical of Sony Ericsson all rounder Disadvantages: Slightly chunky, low memory capacity
...have come to expect from Sony Ericsson. It is very similar to every other Ericsson with standard menu layouts, saves spending time working out how to use it! It has a brilliant function of Start Phone or Music Only - Music Only is a god send in hospitals because it serves as an MP3 player without interfering with equipment. The camera is 1.3megapixels, which is lower than the K750i but still good quality. The screen is clear and graphics sharp. Even ... ...that irritating "freezing" of the screen. Sound is perfect when using the mp3 player, but the radio function isn't as good.
The two main bad points of this phone is there isn't an external memory - not good for music lovers. Also it's a little long for my taste - only about 7mm longer than the K750i but the design of silver edging makes it look much longer. All in all it is an attractive, reliable phone with excellent features. Though to me it is ...

I have longed to get myself a phone with camara video player mp3 and radio all built into one, And while i was in the phone shop i noticed this very cool and stylish phone and the price at the time was expensive but i no the price has dropped right down so is much more affordable ow, i just wish i had waited. This phone would be a good phone who would only use the phone to make calls and text and take a few photos, it's not fo some one who wants the phone to store all their music, photos and videos as there isn't much memory. This Phone is amazing for the price, i got mine in july 2006 for £60 brand new. The only problems are what are stated above. but possibly the most annoying out of these for me was the video camera. i was hopping of being able to do at least 1 minute video clips and i was extremely dissapointed by the 10 seconds blurry clips. This phone is great because of it's inexpensive price and features like 3G, camera(1.3megapixel) , mp3 etc. But after owning this phone for a short while it worked much slower so it's not the best phone if you are impatient.
