Walkman is best!!!

Advantages: A phone and MP3 player
Disadvantages: Bad battery life if using MP3 player

...the fuss is about over Sony Ericsson Walkman phones. -The Box- This mobile box is unlike the others, as instead of the normal plain cardboard box this is a plastic slim box with an orange lid bearing the Walkman symbol. It measures just over 23-cm tall and13 cm wide. When you open the lid you must be careful as you slide the cardboard around the phone out and see just what you have got! The box displays clearly all the main features of the phone, ...
...looks very nice but the Sony Ericsson badge and writing going up vertically does spoil it a wee bit. Over all the style is amazing and really makes you look twice at this phone, I love it and I'm sure you would too. -battery- The battery is just a standard Sony Ericsson 3.6volt battery that slots nicely over the sim card and through the phone. It is easy to place in and take out again if needed and full instructions of how to do so can be found ...

It's not fair, his phone's better than mine

Advantages: Great phone, brilliant camera, excellent MP3 player
Disadvantages: mmmm - it's my husband's and not mine

...the top of the range Sony Ericsson W800i, a phone that's also a 2MP camera and a walkman. The reason he actually ended up with this particular model, is that he decided to finally take the plunge and get a contract phone instead of PAYG, and this was available for free with the contract he chose. ---The Styling--- The W800i is one modern looking phone, being mainly pearl-white in colour with orange highlighting. This doesn't sound a very nice combination ...
...it sounds. This is NOT a flip-phone, and therefore is not the smallest phone to hit the shelves, but that's not to say it is in anyway bulky. Measuring in at 10 x 4.6 x 2cm it certainly doesn't create much of a bulge in the pocket, and at just 99g it certainly won't weigh you down. ---The Battery--- For me at least, one of the most important parts of a mobile phone is the battery, it's life and how long it takes to charge. Charging wise, things ...

Walk like a man...with Sony

Advantages: a wealth of facilities
Disadvantages: none as yet

I have the W800i in black, and it\'s one of the best buys i have had, despite a couple of initial hiccups. The phone\'s features (and it has quite a few) are as follows: 1. Walkman- displays what track is now playing, what artists you have on file; the tracks, playlists and videos. The display facilities are great, simply because it enables you to flit from one track to the next. The artists are listed alphabetically (for those of us who like things ...
...simpler to navigate. The playlist feature is cool too, because you can choose what you want to hear when. My kids especially love the video feature on the phone, as one of the demos has a cartoon on it. The phone enables you to download tracks and music videos, and regular movie clips etc, depending on what you can get a hold of online. 2. world wide web- you can navigate your way through the internet, using your server\'s online mobile facilities. ...

Advantages: Great Camera, nice basic MP3 player, decent battery life
Disadvantages: Very glitchy, buttons too small, poor build quality

Let's just put this on the table - this is not the first review of the W800i so is not going to tell you about a hidden feature that no ones discovered But.. it's going to be honest and straight down the line which is what you want to and need to hear before thinking about buying this little peice of apricot pie. I've had my w800i for almost a year and given it a full workout now so I feel like I've bonded and can be objective in my review. Is it ...
...got your eye on, then yes, it's pretty good. If you text a lot and pound those buttons more then the sounds pound you, then I think you may want to deliberate a little. What's hot? The phone doubles as a camera quite nicely with a dedicated button on the side and nice software features on the phone to edit the pictures. At 2 mega-pixels its not a heavyweight player but you'll be pleased with the results on the screen and when connected up to a ...

Advantages: Lots of features and easy to use
Disadvantages: I can't marry it!!

...phones since then but, the Sony Ericsson W800i is my favourite, so far. If you're like me and a texter then this phone is brilliant it has predictive text which brings up a list of words and even puts your most used at the top of that list making texting really quick. You can store around 150(ish) in your inbox/sent boxes and you can chose which you want to delete when the memory is full, if like me you save the ones telling you how fab your are!! ...
...on the links to the Sony Ericson site which is really easy to do. There is also plenty of free ringtones, message alerts etc on there too. You can even access google, and many other web pages. (sadly not my bank yet as the page is too large, but this does save me from fainting in public places at the sight of my bank balance). The other good thing about this phone is that you can, ring people with it, text, picture message, and email too! Amazing ...

Sony Ericsson W800i mobile phone

Advantages: Small, easy to use, light
Disadvantages: Battery can seem short after using other SE phones

I've stuck with Sony Ericsson phones now for a while due to their reliability, good battery life and ease of use and all in all the W800i is no exception. The phone is sleek, good looking, lightweight and compact although the keys are not always as user friendly as I'd like. Features: Ringtones A few polyphonic are included and there is also a sample of real music tunes already installed on the phone. They are not full tracks though. Vibrating ...

The caller do not hear themselves when they are on speaker so no annoying feedback or confusing calls. This model, like the ones before has useful voice dialling facility. It also has a facility where you can record audio - leave yourself messages to listen to later, record other people or just record your ...

Orange & Cream, sound yummy! Oh wait it's a phone

Advantages: Battery life, the camera, easy to use
Disadvantages: Sound quality, discontinued phone

Sony Ericsson W800I Yep, it's another phone review. I got given this at work and even though this model is way older than my Samsung Z400, I was just hoping the battery life on this phone is much better than that. As this is a discontinued phone not many places still stock it and the only place that you might find it is Ebay or another auction sites. ...to buy one. Also Sony Ericsson memory card seems to be the most expensive on the phone market as they use their own brand. This phone takes Memory Stick Duo, which also works in a PSP. The memory slot is on the left-hand side at the bottom of the phone. The radio feature is brilliant on this phone. It stores all the radio stations that you have pick up. You can only use the radio when the headphones are plugged in, as they are the aerial to pick ...

...you can get. The Sony Ericsson W800i is an excellent phone, its really easy to use and pretty much self explanitory. The best feature for me is the camera it has an excellent quality even when your out in dark places like night clubs and stuff the pictures still come out good, the flash light is extreamly bright which does tend to leave little blobs floating around in your eyes for a minute or so but at least the pictures turn out really good so ...

They are also really easy to download onto a computer you get a couple of different tools to help you do this like a usb cable, but i use a much easier thing which you just put your memory card in to and then put it straight in the computer which i think is alot better than messing with cables and leads. The video camera is also great and you can download them just the same as pictures. The MP3 player is also ...

...have found with all of Sony Ericsson's recent phones, that is the software interface is very confusing and the buttons are not very well set out. This sounds trivial, given the features, but I assure you its not, this phone is a pain, its counter intuitive and down right fiddly. First I appeal directly to the guys who designed this phone, please change the cancel button, take away its delete function and make it the return to the main screen button ...

Good Phone, Few Problems...

Advantages: Listen to music without headphones attatched. Easy to navigate. Easy to text.
Disadvantages: Phone speaker can be quiet. Joystick is easily broken/jammed.

...4 months after owning another Sony Ericsson W800i for about a year. I swapped it for this new one because the screen had began to get dimmer and dimmer on it and also the joy stick would not let me move left at all. I have also found this problem on this new Sony Ericsson after just 4 months. The joystick has started to jam due to leaving it in my pocket for most of the day. The menu system is easy to use providing your joystick works! The menu ...

...its day. Based on the sony k750i this phone boasts some very nice features. Phone technology is just advancing so fast. Who would have thought five years ago that soon our phones would contain a music player, digital camera and be able to access the internet. Welcome back Sony Ericsson

Advantages: Durability/Robustness, MP3 player, It's a Sony Ericsson
Disadvantages: Software for transferring music tracks

...been a big fan of Sony Ericsson, so I may be a little biased and I did have a break from them just recently, trying out a Motorola (V600 - see my review) and a Nokia (6230 - I didn't review this because I'm a gentleman and wouldn't want to upset you all with my language) When I saw this phone come on the market I went for it straight away. My chance to get back to SE after the dismal Nokia - it's a bit like comparing a Bi-plane with Concorde. Nokia ...
...The phone comes supplied with Sony Ericssons own software for transferring music to the phone (called Disc-to-Phone - how original!!) It will take your CD, convert it to MP3 format and then transfer it to your phone. Unfortunately it's slow and quite tempremental at times. To get round this I simply take the memory card out of my phone, plug it into the card reader on my PC and drag and drop the music - simple and much quicker. To do this however ...

Sony Ericsson W800i : more then just a phone!

Advantages: Easy to use music player and does everything you could want it to
Disadvantages: An old phone there are better ones out now + has an annoyingly loose batery cover

...When I found the Sony Ericsson W800i It was love at first sight. The main body is pearly white and is highlighted with a metalic orange on the sides and on some of the buttons. Alot of people say they don't like this but I think it looks great.
