Advantages: Slim, Small, mp3 Player, 3G, Very Stylish Disadvantages: Small Buttons, Speakers, Problematic Battery?
This is the first Sony Ericsson phone I have owned and being so used to the Nokia layouts, menus and functions I was worried that I will need to spend hours learning the shortcuts, menus, functions and what have you. However, I needn't have worried. The W880i is just as easy to use as the Nokias. The menus are easy to navigate and the functions are pretty much the same as any other phone.
So saying that, why is this W880i such a great phone? Well ...

...my last phone was a Sony Ericsson W550i, the phone served me very well untill the charger/usb/headphone port didn't want to work any more, when it broke I could no longer charge, listen to music or connect it to my PC. So I went and got the W550i, when I opened it i could not beleave how thin it was, and its looks are stunnning, Starting up my phone was easy, I put my old sim into it, and when I turned it on, it asked my to enter the time and date ...

I'll try and not waffle on too much about the exact spec of the phone, you can find that elsewhere. But I'll tell you from a users point of view what is good, and what really isn't.
It is very light, very small, and for the first time ever I have a 3G phone that fits in my pocket without ripping the seams!
I like the design. Quite simply - its nice!

I love this phone so much. I have been using it for 2months, it works really well. It is only about 1 cm think, this is really convinience of use. the MP3 player helps me can listen to musincs on the airplane, because it does not need to switch on the mobile. The only disadvantage is the digital camera does not as good as sony's other phones, the photo is not that clear, and also there is no light when I want to make photos. But to overview it, it is a very nice phone with a resonable price. I love it!

For a Sony Ericsson phone this looks really stylish and is built really well. I highly recommend the w880. The only disadvantage I can see is that it has no FM radio - very odd for a walkman phone... Here in Australia the phone companies offer the w880i standard with 1 gig memory stick which is plenty for a walkman phone! Although some may argue that the iphone is better than this phone i have to rebut and argue that this phone is a hell of alot smaller and better looking but most importantly isnt trying to compete with Apple... This is a unique and stylish product that has brought me back to ericsson (Sony-Ericsson) after 7 years of trying other phone brands.

I'm not big on the technical aspects of mobile phones in general... I haven't used thethe video calling, haven't uploaded single song. In short I bought phone beause it was light and THIN. In a nutshell, love the design HATE the phone reception. Or should I say lack of. Since I'm with Orange, I know it's not a network issue. I can put my O2 phone and Orange phone side by side. O2 Nokia 7370 will get service. Orange W880i will not. Change over sims and it proves phone is at fault, not sim. This phone has INCREDIBLY POOR RECEPTION. Sure is cute though!!!

Advantages: Thin, Light, Large Screen Disadvantages: Small keypad keys
The w880i is Sony Ericsson's first attempt at a thin and light phone with most of the functionality found in its popular yet thicker models, such as the w810i and w850i, yet with a fresh and new design. The phone itself boasts a scratch resistant backing, 1GB Micro M2 memory card, Bluetooth, 3G support, 2 mega-pixel camera, and the coveted MP3 Walkman music/video player. All this wrapped up in a trendy package around 9.4mm thick, which for comparison ...

I would definatley reccomend you stay away from this product. Although it boasts points for style and lightweight design, I have not owned such an unreliable phone before.
Problems range from unpredictable power-off, to some applications failing at times, such as the calender, and the phone switches off if you place it too hard on a surface, along with the alarm function sometimes failing.
I am aware of other users who hae had similar problems, and I would certainly stay away from Sony Ericssons from now on.

Advantages: Great slim phone for all users Disadvantages: Camera not as good at night and sometime signal is nont great.
Had the phone for couple weeks now. It's all good. Amazing what they packed in considering the size. Camera is good in the day, but a bit fuzzy at night - same with every mobile I guess. Walkman function is easy to use. Battery lasts about 3 days with normal use (not including walkman use).
The voice activated calling is very good at recognising your inputs and useful for when you are driving - you don't even have to pick up the handset to make ...

I have had the phone for over a year. Very good, stylish phone, brilliant sound quality. I have used the phone camera to take some brilliant quality pictures. Ultra slim design fits perfectly in pocket! I have all my fav music on mine! holds about 800 text messages, hundreds of pictures and songs. defiantly 10/10.

Advantages: small size, memory, walkman,... Disadvantages: nothing much really
The W880 is just a fantastic phone. It looks just so cool and given the size it has excellent features.
I never had a SonyEricsson phone but I picked it up and started using it. The menus are clear and well organised.
The walkman is excellent and easy to use. If you use the walkman with ear phones it is just great (even to the point of me not any longer thinking about replacing my 4 year old iPod). The speakers are not great but what can one realistically ...

I purchased the sony ericsson w880i a month ago and i think it is great, it is slim stylish and like all sony ericssons it is easy to navigate, has a great camera with a good flash, internal memory of 16MB and also a 1Gb external memory card which can be removed and replaced with others, it holds an amazing 900 tracks with its huge memory so great if you use your phone as your walkman. The only downside i found to the phone is the keypad buttons are ...

Advantages: Really stylish Disadvantages: real small
One of the cutest phones going. I must say i always have a fear of this phone accidentally snapping on me as it so small and slim sline.
The sounds and graphics are amazing good but the phone camera lack just a little bit of quality. Real easy layout buttons but they are in fact really small and my finger does keep slipping lol. Wouldn't recommend this phone to any sausage fingers out there.
Real girl's phone if you ask me. Some also come with ...
