Yes, another phone review. Well, what can you expect when I work with them every day. This is the phone that I loved and lost in a taxi and the phone my fiancé still has. When I got mine, it only came in Black but now this phone is available in many different colours either on contract or pay as you go. …Overview of the W880i… W880I is the replacement for W850i. There are quite a few differences between the two but also similarities. Design: It's a very slim phone (103.0 x 46.0 x 9.0 mm) that comes in three different colours. Black, Silver and Gold. It's a candybar phone that means that it ... more

I've always loved Sony Ericsson (henceforth referred to as SE) phones, as they have great features and are usually pretty reliable. One thing that's often let them down though is that they just ain't that pretty. Well, SE have finally woken up and begun to deal with this problem. The w880i is a lovely looking phone, with its brushed stainless steel silver front (or black if you prefer), and its matt black plastic back (say that ten times fast!) (Oh, if you get the black front then the back is orange). It's also only 9.4mm thick. Wow! It's a walkman! Ok, so SE has come through on the looks ... more

This little gem is my latest in what is becoming a long line of Sony Ericsson phones. Mr Sony Ericson the 1st was my W800i and we had a ball together, I pushed his buttons he vibrated in my pocket we got along great, until tragedy (puts hands up starts dancing remembers who sang it and stops) struck and Mr S E went diving in the PIQ’s sink. He kind of teetered on the edge of working; his back light slowly fading to nothing, but then the condensation set in and he was a goner, all I thought was lost, but I had insured his little life and so along came Mr Sony Ericson the 2nd in the name of the ... more

As my old contract was up, I decided to up grade my phone. I wanted something that was thin and light so after looking at all phones available I decided to get the Sony Ericsson W880i. It is only 9.4mm in thickness so fits easily into my small handbag without taking up much room and only weighs 71grams. It has a stainless steal coating that makes it look very stylish. It comes in two colours black and orange, black at the front and orange on the back, or silver and black, black at the back and silver at the front, this is the one I have. To look at the phone head on you have a screen which is ... more

INTRO I recently managed to persuade my wife to upgrade her phone to the W880. Already being happy with her phone she gave it to me. At the time I thought this was fantastic but now I am not so sure. SONY PHONES I rate Sony Ericsson phones at the top of the pile of the decent makes. They always have excellent build quality and the menus are functional and easy to use. I have progressed through the current range as and when they have come out. So it was with joy that I received one of the new W880i phones W880i FIRST IMPRESSIONS When I go the phone I was well impressed. The one I got was from ... more

Sony Ericsson W880I mobile phone I got this mobile for a Christmas present and I have to say I love it because it is simple to use and has a sleek small body so its easy to carry about with you. **LOOKS** This mobile is very thin and sleek looking. The front is matt black and the back is metallic orange. It is very light and easily fits into your pocket and handbag. They keypad has very small buttons which could be hard for people who don’t have tiny fingers. The number buttons are literally a small orange line. Some people may find this annoying. Personally it doesn’t bother me and I got used ... more

Opening the box: When I first opened the box i seen the shine come from the phone knowing it was already unlocked and had everything I needed. I took the phone out and inserted the sim card and the battery etc. I switched the phone on to get the sony ericsson logo and it popped up with normal mode or flight mode. I clicked on normal mode and I was away listening to music, texting and ringing friends from the all new slim and shiny w880i model handset. I also got brand new headphones and manuals to help me and the software disc and USB lead, charger and I also got a free set of speakers to play ... more

I have had all types of phones, that is to say all different makes anyway. Ever since I had one of the somewhat brick like early Sony Ericsson phones they have proved far superior to the majority of other brands. There is something about them that is fresh and dynamic; they are a little more cutting edge perhaps without being overcomplicated. This particular model, the w880i is great, with an abundance of features and a nice sleek design it's easy to use and even easier to conceal. I won't bore you to death with the millions of features it has and it full specification, if you have any wits ... more

After months of me moaning and groaning, my boss finally gave me a work phone. Using my own phone for work I was basically throwing my free minutes down the drain. O.k, it's not brand new, he kept that one for himself. But beggars can't be choosers. The candy bar shaped phone looks fantastic. It's black and looks and feels metallic. After biting on it, I'm pretty sure it is metallic. I couldn't believe how slim the phone was either. 9.4mm from front to back. I gave the phone the trouser test. Long gone are the days of phones bulging out of your pockets. The phone has a nice large screen with ... more

I've generally had a good experience with Sony Ericsson phones (the exception being the p990i) and this one was no different. Let me start by telling you a bit about the phone itself: The w880i is a slim and sleek phone (9.4 mm thin) with a stainless casing; or if you prefer, its also available in black & orange. Features of the Sony Ericsson W880i include: 3G video calling 2 megapixel camera with 2.5x digital zoom Video camera Media player (MP3 / AAC) Sound recorder Messaging: SMS, MMS, email Personal organiser functions 3D Java games GPRS, UMTS (384 kb/s) Web browser Memory: 16 Mbytes plus ... more
