Advantages: Feature set is huuuge Disadvantages: Its big, bad and heavy.
I bought this phone as an upgrade around 4-5 months ago, and have to say that despite its weight and iPod-aping white colour scheme it is one of the best phones I have used.
I guess the question is, what does it do that's so great?
APPEARANCE (vanity vanity vanity)
Like I mentioned, the phone is iPod-white, which may or may not be to everyone's taste. It is dominated by a large and crisp (252 thousand colours I'm reliably told) screen, which ...

...I have opted for the Sony Ericsson W900 (i) 3G-enabled mobile phone, which is one of the latest phones available.
To look at the W900 (i) is stylish and fun but at the same time it is a mobile phone with many capabilities. For the time being this phone is only available in white in the UK whereas black is the dominant colour in other countries, but I have to say the white is a strikingly clean white colour with the name 'Sony Ericsson' written ...

...and I thought going with Sony Ericsson, again, would be a sure bet, after all, my old W800 was a lovely phone, surely this would top it?
Unfortunately I thought wrong. First impressions of this phone are, it's a tester. The new 'flip' technology is extremely laggy, and that's if it works at all, it's tempremental to say the least. Granted, the walkman feature has been updated, but the new 'shake to shuffle' feature is more of a 'rattle as hard ...

When opening the box I was faced with no excess packaging - always a god send in the green-conscious age! There were two things in the box - a smaller box which contained the manual, charger, USB cable and headphones - and a bit of plastic which contained the phone and a USB dongle (which the memory card can be slotted into - an ingenious little gadget!)

Sony Ericsson W900i
Introduction
The Sony Ericsson W900i is one of the top end phones in today's market. It was released the 12th of December 2005 on the Vodafone network, but has mostly been available as a contract phone since then. The average price for a W900i can range from about £300 to £500 brand new, although the price will start to decrease soon as many competitor companies are releasing phones that finally challenge it.

...evolution in mobile phone technology, Sony seem to be racing ahead in terms of quality, durability and overall aesthetics of their range.
The new W900i is no exception to the rule. Sony seem to have advanced very quickly since the introduction of their debut Walkman phone the W800i which was traditionally shaped, but with the integration of a high spec CMOS camera, and advanced mp3 quality download and playback capabilities.
It seems that Sony ...

...which makes me feel that sony have gone backwards some what with the phone. Theres no real technological advances, in the phone it's self.
Sure it looks nice, shiny and sexy just like any new phone should, but it fails to meet upto the build standard I've come to expect of Sony, I will be looking into getting it fixed as it is a decent phone, just not worth the £300+ that's being asked for it. For a similar price your probably able to pick up the ...

...think that this is where Sony Ericsson really shine, with the neatness of their menus in comparison to Nokia and Samsung etc. The menu has barely extended the T610 (my last phone) menu, except to add 3 extra options, which is fine because the screen is larger so it accommodates them easily.
Now the camera REALLY IS something else, with it's two megapixelly goodness, fantastic digital zoom, flash, contrast control, and the crazy range of frames ...
