Advantages: Hugh touch screen, massive memory, great geatures Disadvantages: No camera, no slots of memory cards
...In the box comes:
Sony Ericsson w950i (stylus slides into the phone)
Charger (which you can also insert your headphones into which is very handy)
USB cable
Full instruction manual
Sony Ericsson software CD-ROM.
If you are wondering where the stats for the camera are…there isn't one!
So there you have the specs for it, all in all not too shabby what so ever.
Big plus points on the phone are obviously the touch screen, once you get the hang ... ...You can use the standard Sony Ericsson software but I've never been one for that & this also doesn't work on Windows Vista yet. I just plug in my USB cable and open it as a folder & place my music in the music folder. Just like that!
Once you have done this go to Update Music & this will detect all your music for you.
One drawback which is pretty shocking is the loudspeaker & I know I am not alone in thinking this. It is extremely quiet & you would ...

Advantages: Large memory, durable & superb touchscreen, UI3 interface is so user friendly. Massive memory, sound quality good. Disadvantages: Battery life, keypad. Memory not upgradeable. No camera.
I got this phone sim-free (fully unlocked) on an O2 contract barely 2 weeks ago and I'm impressed. New to the realm of smartphones I was initially skeptical and put off by what I thought would be a steep learning curve, but boy was I wrong.
First impressions are important, and this phone does not lack in that department. It is amazingly light and has a rock solid build quality to it. I am a heavy user, and always fiddle with it whenever I have free ... ...helps in that it does not collect dust, but unlike all the other phones I have owned this phone has yet to develop any of the rattles or creaks that usually develop after some use, especially where the battery cover is concerned. It still doesn't fail to incite the WOW factor, especially when I whip it out on the tube to change a playlist or use the stylus to write a text message (there will definitely be at least someone awed by it). It is truly ...

Advantages: Excellent MP3 + Sound quality, 4GB Memory, Big Screen Disadvantages: No camera, Keypad, Battery life
...bit disappointing) In battery wars sony ericsson has never been able to meet the standards of Nokia and Samsung and so most of the time, I had to keep the phone on charging (as I’m a heavy user). The phone has touch keys and for heavy users of text messaging, like me - the keypad is a pain. In terms of the buttons’ design, they have a small gaps, which makes it a bit difficult to type long messages and I found using the ‘hand writing recognition’ ... ...missing is the camera. If sony ericsson had introduced this feature, this star phone could have dominated most of the market which unfortunately is not the case. Initially, I was a little disappointed about there not being a camera but the massive 4GB MP3 with superior sound compensates the absence of camera. I wasn’t too concerned about the camera feature because I was using another phone at the same time – which had a good camera & image quality ...

Advantages: Various as previously mentioned. Disadvantages: User-unfriendly, many features missing.
You may notice that there are already a number of reviews for this product. As such I must stress that this will NOT be a complete review of the product but instead I thought it was important to point out some of the downsides to this product, as I believe it to be a poor purchasing decision. I recently got this phone on a particularly good deal from the carphonewarehouse, to replace my W810i. I brought it home and came across a number of problems ... ...on opening the box I was struck by the size of the phone. To be blunt, it is a brick and is larger than my w810i which I personally consider to be slightly too big in itself. The only real benefit to the extra size is the large screen, although this is poorly utilised. There is no quick-access button as foiund on the w810i, no easy access to the phone's address book from the main screen, and the whole operating system is generally very user-unfriendly. ...

Advantages: GOOD QUALITY SOUND, LARGE MEMORY CAPACITY AND TOUCH SCREEN. Disadvantages: LOW BATTERY LIFE.
...so I went for the Sony Ericsson W950i that I have been seeing the advertisement for long.
This actually is my first Sony Ericsson phone product that I have used so I really saw the wonders in the Sony Ericsson product. In the actual sense, the Sony Ericsson phones in terms of the camera category have a better and brighter camera than the others but don't be confused, this one does not have any camera features. Equally it has a large touch screen ... ...main feature that made the Sony Ericsson's music features a masterpiece is the presence of the walk man software with an equalizer built in the phone device.
In terms of memory and the storage music capacity it is exceptional. Very large because of the 4GB inbuilt memory and it stores up to 700 + mp3s all are the installed programmes in the phone.
Never a regret for the purchase of this phone so the urge for the I pod purchase has reduced drastically.

Advantages: Stylish, different, massive memory Disadvantages: No camera, screen can get scratched
I've had this phone for a while now and before I got it I read a few reviews that said it wasn't much good - but I went ahead and got it anyway. I was actually pleasantly surprised when it came, although it took a while to get used to using the touch screen, especially the handwriting recognition for texting! You can text normally but I felt that it wasn't using the phone to it's full capacity by doing that. The memory is fantastic, i love that i ... ...as I do use it alot when i'm doing housework etc, it means i no longer use my mp3 player so only need to carry one thing around with me! It does NOT have a camera which seems to be very important to alot of people and I although i'm not too bothered that it doesn't have one I do think that if it did it really would be a complete package because then you wouldn't have to carry around a seperate camera!
I have noticed that over time the screen has ...

Advantages: Good memory and quick for texting Disadvantages: The size and no camera
I have recently purchased this phone. I think it is a good buy for my needs. I like music a lot and it has got a big memory so i can store all my music. It can also put your music in moods so when you feal happy you can play happy songs and when you are fealing sad you can listen to sad songs. With the moods there comes with a moving background when you are listening to music and you can change the colour and speed of the objects in to background. ... ...change the tone of the song.
The only down side to this phone is that there isn't an in-built camera or video recorder but that is another bad thing. As the phone is touchscreen it can recognize your handwriting so you dont have to press all the buttons. This feature is useful when you are on the go and need to text to somebody quickly.
A bad thing about this phone is that the buttons are quite hard to text and also the phone is like a brick.

I bought this gizmo on ebay as I needed a mobile telephone. Its a good buy. Let me tell you a bit more about this phone. It plays music and radio, and thats excellent. I think this aspect will probably be its selling point. The handsfree kit has a good voice quality, though its quite cumbersome. The menu is all mixed and a bit confusing, I think Nokia rules the roost in terms of the ease of use. This piece of kit has a an amazing 4 gb memory which ... ...phone when you are on the move. The stylus is a bit crappy as the screen does respond only with a bit more pressure on it.
In terms of the looks, I think it does steal the show from the other phones, especially the ones which have a flip action or from the sliding ones. Its suave and sleek, and very understated. you wont feel shamed to put it on your table, when you have a meeting with your boss, I am sure he would like it. Yes it doesnot have a ...

The 4Gb internal flash memory is fantastic as not only is it a decent size, but the raed/write acces times are much quicker than similar walkman models that use removable media cards (880, 850 etc).
The touch screen is excellent and the user interface is innovative. Thanks to the UIQ3 Symbian firmware, the music phone acts as a competant smartphone when utalizing 3rd party applicatiosn such as Audible player and Divx. ...

...but yet agian with the sony walkmans the controlls let it down especially with this phone, the w950i has increadiably small buttons from1-9 this leads to them being akward to push leading to miss input of numbers and text which is simply inconvinient. THIS PHONE IS ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT IF YOU ARE A MUSIC LOVER LIKE MYSELF AND WOULD LIKE TO HAVE MANY SONGS LOADED ON TO YOUR PHONE, BUT MOST PHONES SIMPLY DO NOT HAVE SUFFICIENT MEMORY. THIS PHONE IS PERFECT FOR YOU IF YOU DO NOT REQUIRE A CAMERA ON YOUR PHONE, AS THE PHONE SIMPLY DOES NOT HAVE A CAMERA (BECAUSE THE FOCAL POINT OF THE PHONE IS ITS WALKMAN FACILITY). THE 4GB IS HUGE AND CAN SAVE OVER 1000 SONGS. THE PHONE LOOKS INCREDIBLY SLEEK AND ...

Advantages: Many many many Disadvantages: read on and find out, software, touch screen difficult, losing stylus, expensive screen, low volume
this phone is nothing like i've used before and yes as you have heard it is touch screen and holds a massive 4 GBs of memory. However, all the other reviews talk about the greatness of the phone so i will talk about the disadvantages of it. 1. There are many software errors with this phone.
By this i mean that sometimes you will see a white screen when you lock it, and the light stays on when it is charging. I usually charge phones in the night ... ...white light is constantly on so this is very annoying. This goes for all phones.
2. If you havent used a touch screen before you may find it a bit difficult to use. When texting for example it can prove difficult. For example, texting on the bus or in the car with the stylus is very difficult and if you are like me with bad handwriting then it will be even harder.
3. The sylus also seems to be difficult to keep track of. I am always losing it and ...
