What's small and pink and lives in my pocket??

Advantages: Compact - changeable covers - fairly easy to use - good price
Disadvantages: side camera button too sensitive - no data cable supplied

A Sony Ericsson Z520i of course! Well I have been without a phone for quite a while now, and have been making do sharing hubby's, but then he came home and presented me with this one..... I have had a it a few weeks so think it's about time I had my say... I immediately liked the look of this phone, it's compact (83 x 46 x 23 mm) so I could slip it into my jeans pocket when out and about without a handbag. When I unpacked it, it was white, but ...
...so I immediately changed it over. This was very easily done, without the need for instructions. I put the phone on to charge whilst I set about reading the instructions, and boy were there a lot of them, I seemed to get manuals for everything...anyway after a cuppa and a read through, I decided nothing was too difficult and abandoned the rest of the instructions!! The phone itself is very easy to use, with a clear colour screen, (128 x 160 pixel) ...

...are a part of all sony ericsson phones (I think...if not all then most) and basically, are your backgrounds, icons, borders etc. for all the digital display on your phone. The phone comes with quite a few of these already, and you can share them with other sony ericsson phones (via messaging or bluetooth) and I think you can download them too. They're really useful because they make your phone more suited to you and they look better. * REMOVABLE ...
...some reason, but I think they are really good! You can choose from a range of colours including orange, yellow, black, teal (this phone came with white and pink) or you can even design your own on a website I found! This again, makes your phone unique and means you can colour co-ordinate your outfit or show your favourite thing, like a band or celebrity for example. And the criteria I have rated (below this review) I will now describe in further ...

Sony Ericsson Z520i

Advantages: Changeable covers, camera isn't bad
Disadvantages: Not much memory

I am a Sony Ericsson lover, this being my 4th (4/9 phones) Sony Ericsson so far. I really love the clam and the covers because I like to personalise my phone, plus it has all the features I need (Alarm, Calendar, Notes, Calculator) and the camera is my first so I don't really have anything to compare it too. The zoom is rubbish though unless you're in Burst mode! The memory was the only thing I was disappointed with as I can only hold 3 average size ...

My positive points: - MP3 Player - Phonebook and Calendar Link - Camera Quality - Video Quality - Personlised Ringtones for each Contact - Bluetooth (lol first time i've had this) - Infrared (to connect to your out of date friends) - Light patterns when people ring you - Photo and Video Editor My Negatives: ...

...the right choice? ***** Sony Ericsson is a massive company, so I trusted them the instant I saw this phone. I do not know anybody who has had problems with their phones! A Flip Phone with changable covers

Advantages: Small, lightweight, easy to use and bounces when dropped
Disadvantages: Needs charging often, button too easily pressed

A small, compact and easy to use phone with everything you could possible want. Its also a very robust and bouncy phone as I found out when i dropped it. The SE Z520i is kind of a mini girly version of the K750i. It comes with 2 covers: a pink one and a white one which are easily changed and swapped depending on your mood. But be careful as the cases do tend to dent if your horse bites them! The buttons are easy to use and the phone is easy to navigate ...

The downside is that the phone doesnt come with a data cable or any software to get your photos, videos and music onto your computer, yet the other phones in the range do?! Other SE data cables do fit but their software isnt compatable with the Z520i so this isnt much ...

Quick review of Sony Ericsson Z520i

This is a difficult phone to open in a hurry ie when someone is calling you so you end up sending the call to answer phone most annoying. This phone does have a colour camera though, because it was one of the new phones out with a colour camera the pixels are quite low so you get low quality pics, you also can't buy a cable for it to download your pics to a computer you have to have credit to send the photos to your inbox. A good sturdy phone as i have dropped it several times as its so difficult to open one handed but it keeps on ticking nearly as good as a nokia i did say nearly though. ...

A fabulous and flashy phone

Advantages: Flashing lights, great clarity on mp3 ringtones
Disadvantages: WAP browser needs some work...

My trusty phone that I had had for a number of years broke. It got very hot and died. So did a piece of my heart. "Fear not!" said my friend, Adam. "I know just the phone for you...". Thankfully it was just about my time to upgrade and, going with Adam's recommendation of the Z520i, I placed my order and waited (very impatiently) for it to arrive. I was not disappointed! A superb, fun, and funky little phone, I was immediately taken with the various ...

Coupled with excellent battery life, great clarity on calls, and interchangeable covers, this phone is great for making a statement and is one of the few phones that can be truly personalised. The website support is also great - software updates, free downloads, and very helpful technical support from the sonyericsson team. The only downside ...

...caught my eye about the Sony Ericsson Z520i was the stylish pink cover, soft rounded edges. I love it! It gives the personal touch I was looking for. A bit of personality. I wanted something different to the boring phones i've had before. I enjoyed customising both the main and external wallpapers on this phone. My main wallpaper is my pet bunny rabbit! I use the camera quite often and send pictures to my friends. The only thing that annoys me really is that you aren't able to zoom in so you have to stand close up when taking photos, doesn't really help with my terrible eyesight! The self-timer is handy and quite fun too with the frames in shoot mode! ...

Unbelievable

Advantages: nice to look at, good features
Disadvantages: ours stopped working after five months!

I bought this phone for business purposes and it is the only phone i have ever had that has not been bashed about, however the arrow button locked up after a couple of weeks, after two months it wasnt holding battery charge very well and it stopped working at all after five months, it was sent back to ericson as it was under warranty but they just sent it back saying that it was water damaged. What can I say - It looks cool!!!

Advantages: Compact, looks good, good quality display
Disadvantages: Has a habit of taking photos whilst closed. As the case is white, could get dirty quickly

Having had this phone for a little over a month I must say that I am really pleased. This was my first Ericsson mobile, as I've tended to go for Nokias in the past, but I was not disappointed. The picture quality is good, and I especially like the extra little features that I have not had with previous handsets; such as the ability to send sound effects with text messages. I'm also a fan of one of the inbuilt games, where you are able to control ...
...and complete tasks in order to rack up points. Unfortunately once completed (which doesnt take too long) the limits of the game is clear to see, but I guess this is to be expected from a mobile game. I like the stylish white cover of the phone, although of course this has the drawbacks of marking easily. Mine also came with a spare cover, although this is pink, so not to everyones taste! Once I had got used to the format of the Ericsson display ...

My first non-nokia phone!

Advantages: None of my friends have the same one, for once!
Disadvantages: Difficult to get accessories.

...bit nervous about getting a Sony Ericsson, simply because it was different. However, I am very glad I made the change to try something new. I really like my new phone, the Sony ericsson z520i. As my first flip phone, I have got used to it surprisingly quickly. After just a week, I was a top text message-er, a pro photographer, a dynamic DJ and terrific talker! The menu is easy to navigate, once I'd got the hang if it, and it's now second nature. ...
...pay! I got my Sony Ericsson from the Carphone Warehouse on pay-as-you-go at the end of last year. Although the price has come down a bit now, I thought I got it for a pretty reasonable price at £119. I got it on O2, which was £10 cheaper, but I could still transfer my old Orange sim card into it, because it was already unlocked. That meant I didn't have to go through the hassle of having a new number, which was great! Overall, even though I was ...
