You get what you pay for, and this shows it.

Advantages: Cheap, great looks, nice size, second screen, lots of features
Disadvantages: Poor quality main screen, poor camera, short battery life

...worse quality than on other Sony Ericsson phones, which is very disappointing. Moving on from the screen, the camera is another good feature. However, this quickly reinforces the fact it is a budget phone - you can take pictures and videos, but they are both extremely low quality, the colours look poor and, despite the fact there is a mirror on the front and buttons on the side, the phone cannot be shut and then the side buttons used to take the ...
...- it is below what Sony Ericsson say you will get, even with a full charge over a long period of time, which is disappointing. I've found that, the amount I use it, I have to charge it every other night, all night, otherwise I start running out of battery - extremely annoying, but the battery is light (you can tell when you take it out) so sacrifices must be made. A car charger would have been nice to help keep the battery topped up. *Conclusion* ...

...release. I bought my Sony ericsson z530i June 2006 and its still as good as ever. It cost me £79 with the free £10 credit, or as they put it, £69 when bought with £10 credit. When I was looking for a phone I wanted it to look great, and as soon as this phone caught my eye I loved it. It was on the internet that I saw this phone and when I went to the carphone warehouse to see buy it I loved it even more, the black case on the phone is so smooth and ...

The organizer contains some very useful tools including, Calender, Tasks, Notes, Calculator, Synchronisation, ...

...experience this problem. The phone Sony Ericsson made before this, that this phone is based upon, did the exact same thing with almost every phone and they were not allowed to continue selling them because of this fault. Although this one was improved not to have this fault, a few do. Less that 1 in 10 are affected by it, but it still is a bit of a high number. I am so very disappointed that this happened to my phone, as it really is a fantastic phone, and I would certainly not have changed my mind to buy one if I had the opportunity to go back in time. The only thing I would have changed is I would have demanded insurance on it, or bought from a different place that offered insurance, so that if this was to happen ...

I got this phone around august last year. Usually I do read up on a phone before I buy it but this time I didn't bother as I bought it on the spur of the moment. There are 3 colors available Soft Black, Chromic Grey and Elegant Red. I got it in Soft Black because I though it looked the smartest. Sony Ericsson Z530i In August 2006 I decided that it was time to change and update my existing mobile phone contract. I saw this phone and immediately wanted it and based the decision on which contract to get around the phone. I choose an O2 18 month contract which gave me a few hundred minutes and texts included in the bundle for £12.50 per month. The phone is reasonably easy to use, the manual is straight forward to read although some information ...

The phone covers can be changed but I have found the availability to be some what limited - even on the internet. The video camera is ok but not brilliant and the camera is some what disappointing especially compared to my boyfriends new phone (Samsung P300) Where this phone really ...

...then I'd never used a Sony Ericsson phone, and my first impression of this phone was great. It's small, compact, looks sleek and is very easy to use. It has quite a few features although a lot of them I don't actually use they're useful to have anyway. Overall, this a great little phone which looks very nice, has plenty of features and is easy to use. Anyone looking for a cheap little phone that's not overly complicated should deffinatly look into getting one of these. ...

Quick review of Sony Ericsson Z530i

My wife has had this phone for a year. She got it because of its clamshell design, which stops you from answering the phone by accident, which used to happen a lot with previous phones in her handbag. It has served her well, although the camera is disappointing. The initial memory is also very small, although this is upgradable, this is definitely a cheapo phone, probably best suited for someone who doesn't want all the extras. In summary Clamshell design, ideal for the handbag. For phone calls and texts its great ( has T9 which can be turned off) Camera: Basic Memory: Very limited, but upgradable A good cheap phone ...

...is a clamshell cellphone from Sony Ericsson. Despite the fame of SE to make phones without ease of use, this phone is an exception. It does have a good variety of resources and Reception quality also. I could use it even inside of lifts without losing any signal point. Its a robust device also, being resistant to eventual shocks, rains, and everything that some other phones cannot resist. Its screen is not good as other color phones, anyway, the ...
...for me, as I talk so much, battery lasts 4 days. In standby mode, it does lasts usually 7 days. Battery haves a good behavior in hour-long conversations. The connecitivity of the phone is very good for its price, specially as a Mass storage device. This phone can easily be used as a MP3 and video player. It's necessary to have a M2 memory card to use this function (although the phone haves around 50MB of memory, I do not recommend to do so, in order ...

Sony Ericsson Z530i review

Advantages: Strong
Disadvantages: unpredictable camera

I bought this phone a bit more then a year ago for about £69.99 because from the pictures it looked good and it had everything i wanted on it, also one of my friends had recently got it, although i was not as interested in it then. The phone has a camera, mp3 player, infra-red port, bluetooth, and a slot for a memory card if you decide to buy one (unless you pay for the more expensive version of this phone with the memory card with it), even withought ...

When i got this phone i really liked most things about it apart from the look of the buttons and that sometimes the camera would be good and sometimes it would be bad, it was really unpredictable. I have had this phone for approximatly 1 year and 4 months now and all the features work fine apart from the small screen, but that is only because me and a friend played conkers with our phones. I have never had a phone last so long as this one but ...

Good budget phone, with a twist

Advantages: Compact, reliable
Disadvantages: Crap camera, un realiable, reception

I had this phone for around 2 years. I had a fantastic battery life, even with a good deal of music playing. The loudspeaker on it's MP3 PLAYER was very good. But when I needed it most in the high atlas mountains to cal home it broke. So reliability is a question but if you are not going to put it through years of abuse in wet, dusty, undesirable conditions then this is the phone for a person with a tight budget. I was a fan of the simplicity of ...

My phone was recently chewed up my dog so had the hard task of trying to find myself a new one. Money was no object so trying to find the right one should of been easy but it wasn't. Disadvantages: key layout isn't that handy when you get more used to the phone

I have had this phone for a few months now and it has stood up well to life in general. very hard to break and if you are that kind of person this is the phone for you. Packed to the max with features aswell. Great selection of themes from 'clubbing' theme that features flashing disco lights to a very standard theme for the older customer. Very compact when folded and can fit just about anywhere. This phone's twin the w300i has a built in mp3 that ...

the Z530i isnt the best but is capable of doing the job

Advantages: light weight, durable, good all round performance, good for a person who likes there music
Disadvantages: freezes quite often, lose signal easy, camera is poor, keypad is a bit small

The Z530i is a good phone with an all round performance, I have had no phone that has exceeded this in the years i have had it. It has a light feel and the look is satisfactory but not all looks matter but what the phone does is very good for a phone of its time, although it is near enough the same as the Z520i.
