Advantages: easy to use, reasonable size Disadvantages: hard to get stuff onto pc!
My grandparents bought me this camera for my birthday last summer, as it's my ambition to be a film director, and how can I be a film director if I haven't got even basic equipment?! This one was reasonably priced at £250, which included the cables to get the footage onto TV, a battery, remote control and a carry strap. ...was finding a fully loaded Sony Hi-8 on the list. I was even more shocked to find that the Sony CCD-TRv228 can be found for as low as $270. At that price they should literally be flying off the shelves.
The only thing the TRv228 does not have that most folks these days are asking for is an LCD screen. Other than that, it’s packed with features. Best of all is that it records on Hi-8. Though not quite up to the standards of today’s digital formats, ...
