Hello Folks. Before I bought this TV, I did already own one. It's a 14" television bought for me by my parents back when I was a student probably GCSE age. It's a little Sony trinitron, and it's still going strong 11 years later after countless moves around student digs and a great deal of use. Picture quality is as good as ever. The TV may have cost a bit more when my folks bought it, but I'm a firm believer that you get what you pay for. And it has lasted. I believe Sony produce quality electronic equipment. Full stop. I was very fortunate to win one of these in a competition. I love SONY products but having bought a 24" SONY only 2 years ago I could not justify buying another bigger tele, so I won one!!!! Easy to instal (I did it myself), brilliant features for the technos to play with. Mine came with a SONY Cinema system and the sound is fantastic. As a package I would recommend them highly. The only downsize is the big size! It is a big tele and you need a big room, but the space lost is worth it for such a brilliant picture and sound. This is the best mid range TV for 28" desire group. Freeview integrated with Sony quality picture and features. May be feature upgradeable with auto update and CAM module (PCMCIA). Hardware installed already. Sony speaks for itself for quality and brand value. I bought this would a package offer of TV/DVD/VCR for a great price. Easy to connect with sony products and support some other smart functions. You would NOT get a better value for money if you buy this product online and some 100's from high street price.
