Our last Sony (CRT) television had been with us for 10 years or more and had never given any problems and the same can be said for our Sony video recorder. Advantages: Looks great, brilliant picture quality, vivid colours, built in digital tuner. Disadvantages: Fairly expensive
...swung my decision was the Sony brand name...a name you can really trust for quality workmanship and longevity; as well as the outstanding picture quality.
When watching TV, even though an analogue signal the picture is great with the most noticable thing being the vibrant colours and lack of pixelation seen in other LCD TVs. When on a DVD, digital TV, or HD Console signal however, you really notice the outstanging picture quality and high resolution ... ...fiddly menus on that, the Sony is a dream. The Digital and Analogue tuners all have automatic tuning and it is possible to have Freeview running 2 minutes after taking it out of the box! In terms of connections, there are 2 scarts, a PC in, stereo in puts, HD inputs and 1 HDMI input (useful for next generation equipment such as Blue Ray Players and new video consoles like the PS3).
