Advantages: Good sound, good looks, good picture Disadvantages: A tad expensive
...Currys.
It is a Sony KV28LS35 and we paid £915 for the television, a video recorder and a DVD player all in a purpose built cabinet.
So, finally, I’ll actually tell you something about the television! About time too, don’t you think?
The whole package arrived in numerous huge, very well packed boxes, and the first job was to construct the stand and put all the appliances on the correct shelves. Dave did have to pop back to Currys at this point ... ...room. I’m told it’s the Sony Trinitron Tube design that does it, so there you are!
As for the actual appearance of the TV, it is silver in colour and designed with the minimum of lines or fuss about it, which suits us as we are trying to recreate a Victorian feel in the room (the house was built in 1896) and so we wanted the TV to be as plain as possible. Advantages: The Sony Badge, Superb Picture Quality Disadvantages: Watching It Could Become Addictive, Not That Many Features
...a really BIG fan of Sony products. If it has the Sony badge on it, I want it! I don’t know why though, this is just the effect a company so large, powerful and well established can have!
I have a second house, which I live at throughout the week when I am working to avoid an awful lot of driving every morning. Therefore, in the evenings I can be at a loose end when there’s nothing to do. TV however sorts it all!
And not any TV! For ... ...35 miles to the nearest Sony repair centre for a warranty fix, it took 2 weeks but everything has worked fine since then and it is some device!
It has Sony’s acclaimed trinitron tube design, which is nothing sort of superb, and is 100% flat giving fantastic picture quality, especially now that I have it wired to the Sky Digi box via a scart lead. The set is a doddle to set up, it has an automatic tuning feature, which will detect all stations, ...

Advantages: Excellent picture and sound, loads of features Disadvantages: Heavy - don't lift it around too much
...cheaper.
I always buy Sony stuff now, as it always seems to be high quality with lots of features. As usual, I can't say I was disappointed.
28 inch flat widescreen - and I mean flat; as flat as a spirit level. The picture is perfect (50Hz screen) with abolutely no warping of colours in the corners as it's a Trinitron.
Nicam Stereo sound which is thumping and crystal clear, with an extra feature called 3D Virtual Dolby. This is an effect you can ... ...around you to give a surround-sound like effect. It's not quite as good real surround sound, but it's a good feature nonetheless. You can set the sound (bass, treble, etc.) to certain presets like Rock, Jazz, or make your own sound presets and store them.
It's completely auto set up. I just turned the thing on and plugged in an aerial, and it tuned in the channels for me.
The remote control is nice and light and easy to use, and full of useful ...

...imagine when i found this Sony 28incher for under £450 with free delivery from currys a bargain somehat when shopping around this t.v. was retiling for £500+ and that was without the stand.
The tele has a superb picture quality and also offers a flat screen.
