Advantages Advantages Good sound, good looks, good picture

    Disadvantages Disadvantages A tad expensive

As most of you already know we moved house in July of this year, but what you won’t know is that about six months before that the switch on our old television broke. Dave’s immediate reaction was – lets get a new television – he had by longing to get an up to date TV for ages! I pointed out that, since we were moving house, it was a bit daft to get a new TV to suit the lounge in the old house, when it might not look right in the new house. The real clincher however was when I reminded him that the new lounge might be larger than the current one and thus he could choose a larger TV! Well, that ... more

Advantages Advantages The Sony Badge, Superb Picture Quality

Disadvantages Disadvantages Watching It Could Become Addictive, Not That Many Features

Advantages Advantages Excellent picture and sound, loads of features

Disadvantages Disadvantages Heavy - don't lift it around too much

My old TV has just died (NEI), so I just bought one of these from the Comet website for the bargain price of £520 (including free delivery). Typical Comet, it was £600 in store plus £15 delivery. Their website price was £95 cheaper. I always buy Sony stuff now, as it always seems to be high quality with lots of features. As usual, I can't say I was disappointed. 28 inch flat widescreen - and I mean flat; as flat as a spirit level. The picture is perfect (50Hz screen) with abolutely no warping of colours in the corners as it's a Trinitron. Nicam Stereo sound which is thumping and crystal clear ... more
