Advantages: Great sound quality. Disadvantages: Not great for your morning jog!
...to write about them.
Sony MDR-XD200 Headphones.
They're a favourite for Argos, I believe, probably because they are not too expensive, look good, sound great, they're from a well-known brand, and, well, given the oppurtunity wouldn't you choose huge DJ headphones over little white iPod earphones? I would.
PRICE
For a good pair of headphones, these are not particularly expensive at all. I got mine for around £14 I think, from Argos. They can be ... ...between a tenner and £20.
As comparison, I have had previous headphones of similar style that have either been much more expensive, or worse quality, so these are a good buy, IMO.
QUALITY OF SOUND
Fantastic!
I used to have a pair of big headphones, in fact I used them for about 10 years, and admittedly, even these headphones can't beat the quality I got out of them, but after they broke, I tried a lot of options and I ended up using these.
There's ...

Advantages: Great sound quality for music and movie alike. Disadvantages: A bit cumbersome in size
These heaphones have 40 millimeter diameter, dome-type driver units, long-stroke diaphragms and neodymium magnets for greater power handling and higher frequencies. This, despite sounding very nice doesn't mean that much to me, so I will do my best, in laymen's terms (being a headphone layman myself) to describe what makes these headphones great.
For listening to music these headphones are superb. They deliver a great deal of clarity and the best ... ...Where typical earphone headphones would lack these cans pack a punch, sounding fantastic at any volume without the fuzz you may expect at high volumes.
One of the main things I love about these headphones is the length of the wire which is easily long enough to allow for TV listening while sitting a good distance away, wheras you of course won't get the range of wireless headphone (for obvious reasons) you get more than enough. This brings me neatly ...

Advantages: Good sound.long cable, Disadvantages: Feel bulky and very plastic
In looking for a budget set of headphones i came across these.I bought them from argos for 14.99 even better than the advertied price of 19.99 that i was willing to pay.
The primary reason i got them was for dj use and the odd bit of late night music. On opening the package i discovered the headphones looked very cheap and plastic when i put them on they do feel comfortable but rather bulky. On testing i plugged straight into my pioneer mixer and ... ...volume for the price i payed not any hiss or distortion as usual with cheaper headphones.
As an extra feature each ear has a clever switch to choose between music and movie which does seem to make a difference although ive not tried with an actual film but im sure would sound nice as the headphones have a nice deep bass.
They also come with the 3.5" adaptor and the length of cord is approx 3 mtrs.
Overall im happy for what i paid as i dont think ...

Advantages: Good deep bass and high frequencies Disadvantages: no noise cancelling, evryone else can hear what you're listening to
I bought a pair of these headphones today for use on my music tech course at college, and to be honest i was quite disapointed with what i got for my money. They are very plasticy and feel like you could easily break them. Another reason i bought these headphones is so i dnt annoy the rest of my family with my music taste, but even on half volume they can still be heard quite well from a good few metres away. On the other hand the equaliser feature ... ...or movie does make a reasonable difference. they are quite comfortable and lightweight. they do comje with a Unimatch adaptor for the larger headphone sockets which is quite handy.
I can only say that these headphones are only average and not worth the £29 i had to pay for them and wouldn't advise others to buy them unless you're looking for comfort. ...
