The Sony MZ-E501 Minidisc Player is a great all rounder for those on a budget, but don't want to compromise on quality. The name Sony guarantees quality, all Sony followers will agree to that. This MD player has all the features and qualities you'd expect for the relatively low price tag of 80 pounds.
BATTERY LIFE is absolutely top notch on this MD Player (Up to 81 Hours) Perfect for those long journeys.
DESIGN is clean and very different to previous ... ...minimalism, this is a great choice.
REMOTE CONTROL: The remote control is black in colour to confrom to the colour of the headphones. One disadvantage of this remote is that it doesn't have a backlight which is really annoying when it comes to listening to your MD player in a dark room or dim light.
MDLP: This Minidisc Player is MDLP compatible so if you have an MDLP recorder, you can fit up to 4 CD's on to 1 MD. Very good news for when you don't ...

This minidisc player includes "MDLP" which basically means you can fit more music onto a single minidisc (great huh!) although the quality will slightly decrease. So it allows for 320 mins of playback (OVER 5 HOURS OF YOUR FAVOURITE TUNES)! It does this by compressing the music into a format no as ATRAC3.
Group mode playback
... ...your own misfortune, but if Sony were to improve the product i would advise using those little rubber stoppers over the remote control input holes.
Overall i feel that this is a very good product and would advise it to almost anyone, it is smart (so good for all of you business men) and it is also stylish (good for all of you teenagers out there that like to be "cool").
This product ranges from £139.99 first hand to about £50.OO second hand. ...
