Sony once again proves itself to be in the forefront of digital technology as always. This Sony MP4 Player is an excellent product that I myself purchased several months ago. As I expected, it has great sound quality that I believe cannot be beaten by other similar products, and the range of audio options on the player itself is vast Custom equalizer, DSEE, Clear Stereo, etc.... The video playback is also very clear and crisp, the same goes for the ... ...ear-phones
Has the expected good Sony standard and durability
Requires short time period to charge up
Very durable (mine has withstood several drops onto pavement)
Con's:
Some may argue it's a iPod nano rip off
Doesn't normally come with a case
Lack of accesseries (e.g. Dock)
Only comes with a USB charger
Doesn't have any games (some modern multimedia/mp4 players do)

...software was very restricted to Sony and even though it explains on their package box WMA files can be used on the MP3 it's not the case it's MP3 and some of the other larger files it's uses but converts them to it's own style of Sony file.
I also found transfering music onto the MP3 a doddle, but visa versa was extremely difficult or too much of a hassle to be honest and NOT AT ALL user friendly! but they have a helpline that wasn't too bad the ...

Advantages: noise canceling earphones. Disadvantages: software doesn't work on mac os
very slim sleek looking mp4 player 4gb, video playback, 2 inch colour lcd display, up to maximum 30h music playback, 8h video playback. comes with full software to convert music, video and pictures.
whats bad about this mp4 player is its not compatible with mac os but ok with pc xp, vista etc.
you have to convert music files to omg files the player wont play mp3 files, it comes with sonic stage software for all your needs.

this is the best mp3 player so far,i own one and i love it....it has surround sound options and the equalizer is awesome....you can play video in great quality and in surround sound....If you are looking for a great sounding mp3 and video player,this one is the best choice for you and cheaper as well...I'm a musician and i love good sound quality and this is the mp3 player that really satisfy my sound expectations.
It comes with a great software ... ...and video to it.There are some advance options like the ability to delete the files that you don't like(it has it's own trash bin).VPT(sorround) ,DSEE(sound enhance),and dynamic normalizer settings for audio.Zoom and Video direction settings for video.
it's a great all in one device that comes in an affordable price ...

wow, i managed to get a real bargain with this walkman!!! My boyfriend has wanted a new mp3 player for ages, we went to greece last year and bought a cheap mp3 player to take with us, it did the job, but the sound quality and memory was nothing like this mp3 player!!! It looks great, sounds great and really is a fantastic item-i would say it is a must have in everyones pocket! Young or old, its great to store your tracks on, for long days out, holidays ...
