...A lovely shiny and new Sony mp3 - the NW-A805 in black. I couldn't wait to try it out as I had been without music for so long and decided to get started by installing the software SonicStage, which is for music play back, and Image Converter, which is for videos and photos. You do get a 'Getting Started' guide which takes you through each step but I didn't find installing the software difficult as you simply put the CD-ROM in your disc drive and ... ...my iPod. According to the Sony site the battery should last for up to 30 hours playing music or 8 hours playing video. I can definitely believe this as I have never run out of battery so far in spite of only charging the player once a week and in spite of listening to it a great deal. To me, this was one of the most important qualities for an mp3 and it is lovely not to have to worry about running out of battery ever! Apart from this I also love ...

A great alternative to the ipod. This plays video
clips, music and you can view your photo's also.
Playback is great even on the small 2" screen.
The menu's are straight forward using the 4 way
rocker button. The headphones supplied are
also very good, EX type for superior sound quality.
It uses a lithiom ion battery. Estimated Atrac
playback is 30 hours and video playback 8 hours.
It comes in 2GB 4GB and 8GB versions with
