...fob this off as a sony player that is overpriced, especially in a world of i-pods and loads of GBs. Well I for one wanted a player that wasn't an i-pod around 130 pounds. 1GB this model has and with the help of Sonys ATRAC plus (newer) compression, easily fits lots of songs on without a lack of quality. I must stress I am an audiophile and cannot tolerate bad sounding music. Coupled with the Fontopia silicone tipped suction thingy headphones it sounds ... ...1GB.
The unit itself is a work of art with solid construction and easily workable buttons. Press one button to sweep through the albums and press it again when you want to skip through the tracks. Skipping through the tracks is a joy with the tactile twiddle knob in the corner with the play and stop button on the end of it. Its also got a hold button so you don't press anything inadvertently. The AAA battery and USB connector are happily covered ...

Advantages: very small for something that can fit over 600 songs on Disadvantages: it takes a AAA battery, would be better if it was rechargable
This little Mp3 player is brilliant. I bought one about 4 months ago now and i use it around 10 times a week for 1 hour at a time. I have only had to change the battery 7 times.....now thats what i call battery time. The software you get with it (SonicStage) it allows you to convert Mp3 music files to atrac3plus files which is about half the size of the mp3 file. The memory is two 512mb internal memory. At the moment i have got about 200 songs on ... ...internal memory card left plus the other one which is brilliant. This thing is absolutly tiny as well. Its about the same size as a matchbox . Fits perfectly in your pocket. The sound is brilliant as well. It was thinking about buying one for a long time and then i finally bought one and i'm so pleased i did. If your like me, thinking about it, reading countless reviews and not sure whether to buy one or not.........just buy it, trust me. ...
