Reliability-this one will have to go to the playstation, every console I've owned still works(Mega-Drive, Sega Saturn, Dreamcast{It's still a fantastic system}, Xbox, Wii, Xbox360 & now the PS3), ( Altho the dreamcast did need a very minor repair which I did myself after watching how ... ...same extent, lets face it Sony tend to over engineer their tech & I can only assume that they have improved on the original when they built the slim(Not under the same rush to get a system to the marketplace). One other thing, the system is almost completely silent, not something the gaming world has been familiar with in recent years!! :) Personally, if I was in a burning building & could only rescue one of my consoles, it would need to be the 360 ...

...that could start to make sony some profit because up to this is due to the vast majority of PS3 sold so far (around 24 million of them) have been sold at a loss. However, new manufacturing procedures have changed this recently, and a redesigned 45nm Cell processor along with other similarly small and power efficient components have reduced Sony's manufacturing costs significantly. So what do you get: You get the console, a DualShock 3 controller, ... ...style controller.
In my opinion Sony has released this console just in time for x-mas to try and boost their profit margin, it is still the great ps3 but with no real noticeable benefits to us the customer and no real break in the price which people are crying out for!
After all that said DO buy this product because the ps3 in my opinion is the best game console out at the moment with free online game play and a blu-ray player this console far ...

The ps3 has amazing graphics and is capable of creating amazing gameplay experiences. Despite the price it is the best games console out there by a mile. The online is amazing. The blu-ray is breathtaking and overall it is just an amazing console and a must buy!
It has an amazing online communtity and even its own store to browse and buy wanted products on the internet. The internet community or (psn) in absolutely free. The High Defenition Media ... ...It is truly an experience that has to be experiaenced. With such realistic graphics and audio abilities why not buy one youself? get one as soon as possible. The Playstation 3 Slim is a smaller version of the first PS3. It contains new firmware straight out of the box so the updates needed to download are minimal giving you more gaming time. It has all the usual features installed but comes with BBC Iplayer and a music box that allows you to listen to any music artist and pick a song from a huge online database, you could spend a whole week listening to those golden oldies. i have now owned my PS3 slim for just over a month, and could not be more pleased with my purchase. As a gaming machine it is fantastic, and in my opinion far better than the xbox 360. Unlike the xbox 360 the ps3 comes with built in wireless and internet gaming is free, which to me is a massive advantage for the ps3. the extra features on ps3 are vast, theres the blu ray player which gives outstanding picture quality with a 1080p tv, not only that ... ...if like me you have a vast dvd collection that you can't afford to upgrade to blu ray. One of the most recent firmware updates gives you the ability to watch bbc iplayer through the ps3, no more having to watch to missed episodes of top gear on a tiny laptop screen. I bought the PS3 slim a month ago, and I enjoy it a lot. It fits in a 12x3 inches space and there are only 2 wires running from it (power supply and video). The controller is wireless. It runs on batteries but, this is not a bad thing. You can get up to 10/15 hours of play time with a single charge and if it needs charging in the middle of a play, just connect a usb wire from the ps3 to the controller (same kind of terminals used to upload pictures ... ...Cheap system considering you get great games, blue-ray player and 120 gig of storage (plus wireless internet ). This system really is an investment. A little downside though, no backwards compatibility with PS2 and playstation (1) games. So if you want to play those games, you have to buy a PS2.... ...

I pre ordered this as soon as it was announced as i wanted a ps3 for some time.I was sceptical about the ps3 as i own a xbox aswell and my friends convinced me to buy a ps3. Once i received it i instantly feel in love the look of it is much nicer than the "phat" ps3 and its super quite unlike my friends. First things first, WOW! when i first got it out the box i was amazed about how slim it was compared to my mates one. it definitely looks better too! i love the XMB crossbar. and the way you can change your themes by downloading some new ones from the psn store.

the psn store is amazing. test out the latest demos of new games. Download new themes or backgrounds for free. Buy full games from as cheap as £3.99! its brilliant!
