    Advantages Advantages Lightweight, quick, very reliable, great screen, incredibly quiet

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None really - possible slight issue with network card, battery life fading after 18+ months

    Background and Summary I was given this laptop (actually a VGN-SR19XN, but negligible / cosmetic differences as far as I can tell) for work just over 18 months ago with no previous experience of Sony Vaio products, and have had virtually problem free use ever since. For reference, I have used this laptop probably on average 50-60 hours a week, so total usage of 4,000 hours. In my opinion, this is a fantastic laptop, admittedly it is quite expensive (I believe it was ~£1,000+ new when I got it) but for a work laptop, with the occasional bit of gaming / entertainment, this is well worth the ... more

    This is my first Sony laptop, I am a happy man... I've had a Dell, Toshiba and an HP laptop all in the past 4 years or so, each developed faults or just became to slow to run the most basic of task's. We all know Laptops can not compare to desktop equivalents with even the most primary of tasking, this new Sony offering breaks that rule. The thing that first drew to me to the laptop was not only the Sony Vaio brand but it was also the design, its sexy! - Brushed silver effect and very thin.
