Sony Vaio PCV-LX1

This may apply to other sony vaio computers. I was very happy with my vaio until the power supply broke. We were outside the guarantee and were shocked to discover that if you dont have a warrenty you just cant get hold of spares. Its a bit like some car manufacturers - The spares needed are of a different size to other machines and when you try and order the part direct from sony you are told that they will not supply it if you are not under their warrenty. What a great looking machine, what a disappointment when you install any games or educational programs. A massive 17.5 inch widescreen makes you think you will get the display of a lifetime yet most games and educational programs run in a 7.5 inch by 5.5 inch box in the middle of the display. Numerous emails to SONY and have resulted in their ending up saying "there is nothing we can do" If like me you owned the models predecessor the LX2 then you will be severly disappointed with this machine.
