warning - no spare parts

Advantages great PC design

Disadvantages you cant get hold of spare parts

"This may apply to other sony vaio computers. I was very happy with my vaio until the power supply broke. We were outside the guarantee and were shocked to discover that if you dont have a warrenty you just cant get hold of spares. Its a bit like some car manufacturers - The spares needed are of a different size to other machines and when you try and order the part direct from sony you are told that they will not supply it if you are not under their ..." "...the display. Numerous emails to SONY and have resulted in their ending up saying "there is nothing we can do" If like me you owned the models predecessor the LX2 then you will be severly disappointed with this machine. The other problem is the keyboard which to adjust you must re-angle the screen. I find this very difficult to type with. The kids also managed to break 2 keys on the flimsy keyboard within 2 days of ownership. I also ..." Read review
