The Sony versions, as I discovered after a long wet drive up the M6, are not! I therefore had to take them out, dry them thoroughly (thankfully they weren't permanently damaged) and put them back in with an extra plastic coating screwed around the back of them.
Perhaps this is just a design "idiosyncracy" with the toyotas, but if it's not, then beware when you install them! ...
