Sourz Apple Sweet & Sour Liqueur

...the green apple variety! Sourz is meant to be a shooter. It usually comes in shot glasses of (I guess) 25 ml, and is a bit on the expensive side unless you have a student bar near by like I do. (A double Sourz topped up with lemonade is only £2.35! and 50ml is about £1.55). But it comes in reasonally cheap bottles giving you 70 cl (which is the same as 700 ml) in supermarkets for around £9. I bought my only bottle of the delicious stuff from ASDA ...
...**************** As I said before, Sourz is meant to be drank in shots of about 25ml. Our student bar serves 50ml in a glass. The taste therefore is sort of non-existant as you gulp it back, then the intense sherbettyness (is that a word) hits you all at once. ...this time it works fantabulously! Sourz have created a miracle! Pats on back all round! So there i am with my glad rags on slurring to the ever so cute barman (i'm hoping its a man, you never can tell these days) to pour me some of that toxic nonsense while i dabble into my unknown. £1.80 later - its expensive for a shooter, the green stuff is sitting dubiously infront of me. Apart from Midget Gems (made by Lion, with the liquorice flavoured blacks), I was quite partial to a set of sweeties called “Apple Tarts”, which were apple flavoured, if you hadn’t guessed. ...of the course, and Apple Sourz is one of the nicest ones around. Sourz is a sweet/sour shot, with a very very intense flavour. It's not at all sickly, which is nice for these kind of 'cool' shots, and is the kind of drink which makes you gasp after you swallow it! It doesn't taste of booze, so it doesn't get down your throat and then suddenly make you feel sick. It is however very very flavoursome, so be prepared! I've never seen the bottle close ...

...a big apple (and cherry!) sourz fan! It's a sweet-sour apple spirit and tastes great. Its smells really appley and sweet and that's exactly how it tastes. It comes in a 70cl bottle, which costs around £10 which I think is pretty good value. (£10.42 at Tesco, a few pence cheaper at Asda). It's 15% alcohol. It's very sweet to drink, with a tangy-sour kick. This is not overly powerful or at all nasty, in fact I find it adds an interest to the drink. ...

...time around it! Apple sourz i love for many reasons, it tastes great as a shooter and as a mixed drink - mmmm cocktails.... more of that later. ok maybe i can't handle my drink very well but i found this quite strong to have on its own, its 15% alcohol volume and you can really taste it.... i was mixing it with cola on holiday which tasted alright but i found that its better with lemonade. still taste the apple and sourness to a much pleasant degree :) you can get it for around £10 varies on shop to shop, i got mine from spain on holiday and that was around 12 euro's :O its a nice green ...
...a tinge of fizz. you get about 1.5L maybe less in the bottle and it will last a bit if you only have the drink now and then a spare it out with some lemonade :) but once opened you have upto about 6 weeks before you should bin it. ...

As a person who doesnt drink with much variety as I cant find anything that i enjoy the taste of, i was given this as a shot when I went to a bar by my friend. At first it tastes quite sour (obviously well named) but after the first one you get used to the sourness of it and enjoy it as a apple shot. Its also i hit with quite alot of people as the last time I went out the bar that I was in had sold out of them, when they had quite a lot of bottles at the start of the night. ...my first taste of apple sourz while on my summer holiday in Newquay. I was at a 'pound party' (all drinks £1) and couldn't fit any more pints in my stomach. A friend recommended I try this product, and try it I did. And try and try again. Unfortunately, everyone else seemed to have the same idea, and before you could say 'I'm not pished, honest' the bars were out of this magical liquid. The flavouring of the drink is excellent, but may be a little too much like sour apple flavour Haribos for some tastes. The whole Sourz range has a new look! The new flavours are sooo tasty, especially when mixed. My favourite has to be Cherry Sourz and Coke. But apple Sourz is really nice with cranberry or lemonade. It's so sweet you can hardly taste the alcohol; and at 15% it doesn't blow you away. This has to be one of THE tastiest shots you're going to find, personally I discovered it when on holiday and my friends and I bought "one of the funny looking green one" each...After that there was no stopping us and that was practically our sole beverage for the entire week! Has to be said the taste is marvellous and if you've got a bit of a sweet tooth, you'll love it! Only down side is that if you're after a night of hard hitting spirits then ...
