Spider-Man 3 (PS3)

PLESANTLY SUPRISED! I got this game not expecting much at all, not being a particular fan of spider man and not really enjoying the first 2 films. The reason why I got this game was due to the lack of other games on the ps3 The game started with a tutorial mission allowing you to get to grip with some of sider mans moves and skills, It brings you in slowly as there is a lot to learn. The tutorial voice is quite humorous taunting you and bigging himself up instead of you which was quite original. Spiderman 3. This game could quite easily flop and be reduced to the bargain bucket at you local petrol station. But has it? Controls Simply brilliant. For a man as complex as Spiderman the controls layout is surprisingly simple. There are 2 fight buttons as I like to call them. Square if for punching moves and Triangle is for kicking moves. Combinations of these two buttons can then trigger brilliant butt whoopin' moves. I have only one managed to spin my web at an enemy and somehow make them hang upsidedown from a lampost. I got this game for a fairly cheap price as I wanted to check it out. I enjoyed the previous spider-man movie game a lot so having similar features to the original were welcoming. The game controls are simple to master and players tend to button mash their way through to eliminate the enemy. Button combos do enable different attacks but remembering them can be an issue due to the vast amount of them. The webslinging through New York is truly wonderful and calming and the physics feel well balanced. Ok lets get this out of the way. Im a HUGE spiderman fan. I would of bought this no matter what it was like. DId you love spiderman2 the game? if so stop reading and go buy this. Spiderman 3 is spidey 2 with a few new missions. The game basicaly involves swinging around the city, saving people and beating th snot out of baddies. And it dose it pretty well. New york is very well rendered, you can climb to the highest skyscrapers and drop all the way to the streets before casting out a web and landing on a flag pole.
