...a bloodhungry destroyer of worlds. Spore provides a much needed breath of fresh air into the sandbox/creator genre, and indeed computer gaming as a whole. It's colourful, original, brilliant fun, and charming, but the gameplay is scared with repetetive and simple mechanics. This is what stops Spore getting the 5 stars, but in no way does it stop this being a game that is well-worth buying. If you end up buying it and forgeting about it after a week ... ...this point you realise that Spore isn't one big game but actually a combination of 5 smaller ones. You are now given control of multiple creatures, and your first job is to set them off gathering food. Soon other tribes appear, and agin you must decide wheather to kill them, or not to kill. Whatever direction you took in the creature stage will affect your Shaman's (tribe leader) abilities, which are crucial in a fight or when trying to impress another ...

Advantages: Creature creator is good, family friendly, good graphics Disadvantages: DRM, shallow, simple, repetitive
...creator of the Sims, and Spore was supposed to be the game that revolutionised the industry. In reality, although the concept is great and has the potential to be groundbreaking, Spore is just an extremely boring and repetitive series of mini-games. These mini-games are broken down into stages of evolution for your new species: cell stage, creature stage, tribal stage, civilization stage and the space stage.
The cell stage is probably the most fun ... ...be like. In all honestly Spore doesn't improve here. It's the same basic, boring repetitive tasks carried out in an over simplified environment. Meet another species, attack or make friends with them, find another species, attack or make friends, etc. At least there's only one more stage to go.
Most of the playing time is spent in the final stage, the space stage. Here you are given missions to complete that involve flying around space collecting ...

...is going to be difficult, Spore has received a huge array of mixed reviews. I'm going to review this based entirely on my own experience and discoveries. So here we go:
The Begginning: In the beginning there were planets devoid of life, until one day an asteroid plunches into the oceans (of the planet you chose) and breaks apart creating life. You are a tiny single cell creature who can swim and eat plant bits. Yum. But, you must survive and evovle ... ...could go on practically forever. Spore is huge, you forget that you started out as a small cell eating green algae with no larms or legs. It's triumph to even attempt to bring this all together in one package. But everything you create is also shared throughout the galaxy, but not just yours, everyone else who has bought Spore could potentially download your creations and witness them in their game. When this happens your Spore Page will inform you ...

= Spore = This article may be considered as containing mild spoilers. So this is my warning for that just in case. By spoilers, I mean it may give details away that could spoil potential surprises for some gamers. = Minimum Requirements = - PC (Windows XP or Vista) -
CPU: 2.0 GHz processor or equivalent

... ...the evolutionary adventure of your spore creature begins. You start of almost as basic as a single celled organism. Your mission is simply to feed, survive and reproduce. Depending on whether you have chosen to be a carnivore, omnivore, or herbivore, you (rather obviously) search for different food types. Herbivores simply go around trying to eat green globs of algae, where as omnivores go around eating red globs of meat, or other creatures. Omnivores ...

Does this appear for anyone? My first paragraph seams to vanish. If you can see it, please leave a note.
Before I start on the game I want to warn you off this game due to the Digital Rights Management. Spore Creature Creator which many of you have, it is only really a taster to the real game. Spore has been in developing for near 4 years now which is a long time to develop a game and its release date was delayed and delayed and delayed again until it finally settled on September 08.

You start of life in the game as a molecule in a drop of water and you swim about eating microrganisms, as you do so the camera slowly zooms out revealing more area and bigger life forms. EA games spore is a mainly role playing game however, the third and fourth stages, (tribe and civilisation) are real time strategy. In the story mode of spore you start off as a single cell in the primeval oceans of your chosen planet you begin by eating other cells and plants to gain DNA points which you used to evolve your creature. Advantages: Allows for a near infinite variety of creatures to be created. Disadvantages: Requires internet access to install and run.
This is one of the few games that I have actually waited, with near baited breath, for the release date. The previews for it looked tantalising. The reviews looked well thought out and portrayed the game in a very good light. To say the least I was more than a little excited when I finally managed to get my hands on my own copy. When I did manage to play the game I was a little disappointed that a few of the features that had been showcased at E3 ... ...What had originally been shown as an"open" interface with clean lines had been replaced with a chunkier more standard interface. Thankfully though all of the design features that had been promised were still there. This allowed me to create an impressive array of my own monstrous, beautiful, colourful and morose looking creatures. The game also delivered on the promise of letting the player create their own creature from the cell stage and direct ...

...a truly personal touch, but Spore takes the conventional editing tools and allows users to create anything imaginable, as proved by the tens of thousands of uploaded creations. Advantages: Great fun, wont make you angry. unlike COD which causes me to get angry Disadvantages: Occasional frame freezes
Now, When i fist saw the trailer for this game i was extremely excited about it. The ability to change your creature To how you want it in such a free way intrigued me. I personally would avise that you buy this game because although not being a "proper gamer game" it is certainly good fun. Beginning as a mere ameoba style creature you will have fun destroying other small cell like creatures, then you can become a fish or go on land. My main issue ... ...may experience some lag (slow play) frames may move spazzily for a short time and you may think its about to crash. I personally haven't progressed past the tribal stage as i have not had the time to play it due to higher priority tasks :( However if it carries on how it is doing then it will make a splendid game that for its low price is definately worth buying.
Have a good day and please continue to use Ciao! ...

This game is going to be awesome you create your own creatures and help them on their journey's from starting off as a cell to evolving into an alien like creature and then searching the galaxy in spaceships for new creatures. Advantages: Become GOD! Disadvantages: Not out till September 2008
Spore one of the most highly sort after games ever since the dawn of time is due to be hitting our screens at the end of this year. Created by the highly rewarded developer Will Wright (The Sims, Sim City, Sim City 2000). If his career in the gaming industry had not already reached gold status, his latest and possibly greatest project Spore will no doubt further break him away from the pack. In Spore you will find yourself able to create and evolve ... ...and actually be god.
Spore is named after how it all begins. Everything in life started somewhere and in this game you will find yourself looking down on something that your cat coughed up. At this stage in your micro organisms life you will find themselves floating round in a pool avoiding the larger organisms that want to eat you up, and eating the little ones until your creature is ready to evolve to the next level, you do this by clicking on ...

Advantages: You can anything in this game, create pets, ship and more. That is awesome. Disadvantages: A bit low graphics sometimes.
...So I begin to play.
Spore was created by Will Right and developed by EA. First you choose the planet and begin in cell stage. You are fish now and you will choose later what you want to: a fish that eats only plants, the fish that eats only meat and hunts other fish or the fish that eats everything. So you do what you want and grow up. When you are growing you get DNA pionts, which let you to lay the egg with other partner and customize your creature ... ...get legs and you will go to land and you will begin to explore and. When you complete creature stage, you will enter in stage, when you are in something like a stone age. When you complete ''stone age'' you will enter into military stage and then into space stage.
