    Advantages Advantages Cheaper than high street retailer, good level of cover. Facility to scan and email receipt.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Replacement product could be a refurbished unit rather than new for old.

    I am writing this review purely on the customer service received during the purchase procedure, it is not possible to write a full review of the product until a claim is made. Hopefully I will not need to make a claim. I liked the facility to send a scan picture of the receipt to save having to find in the event of a claim. This was most useful for me as I purchased my television outside Amazon, therefore had no confirmation email to forward. The warranty was cheaper that one offered by the high street retailer who provided the television and provided five years of cover rather than three. The ... more

    I have previously bought a Squaretrade Warrenty and unfortunatly after an accident my sons 3DS was damaged and I needed to make a claim. This claim was dealt with quickly, fair and without any fuss and bother. I was given immediate assurance that I would recieve a full refund for the price I paid for the 3DS and so was able to order a replacement straight away. Fortunatley the replacement arrived in time for my sons birthday as his main present was a new game to play on it!     This is a really great idea to give me peace of mind knowing that if anything the unfortunate happen and the graphics card for any reason fails i have the cover of this warranty to get me up and running without the costly price of buying a new graphics card.I think this is a great idea to cover items that i never thought about covering before.I will recommend this cover to my friends and family so that they can benefit from the warranty that Squaretrade can give them when buying pc hard ware.Now that i have the benefit of this cover,i will be making sure that each time that i buy hard ware for ... more

    I purchased this warranty to cover my CCTV system purchased from Maplin, who do not offer any warranty themselves. I spoke to Squaretrade customer services before purchasing, who confirmed that the whole system would be covered to the maximum value of the original purchase, so went ahead and purchased from Amazon. This covers all the 4 cameras and the DVR box, which seems good value if any of the components fail.     I had read positive reviews about Square Deal and decided to go for one of their three-year warranties for a Humax PVR9300T 320GB Twin Tuner which I was purchasing from Amazon. First of all the cost of the warranty was extremely reasonable and I found Square Deal's website easy to navigate and found a good explanation of the product I wished to purchase from them.     Square Trade have been superb so far since my order for an xbox on Amazon and purchase of their policy to cover it. I was a little aprehensive purchasing as I could not understand how the insurance process would work given that I purchased the insurance through Amazon. The process turned out to be quick, easy and highly efficient it arrived before my xbox! They have provided the insurance documents via post, even called with a curtosey call to check that I did not have any questions and to thank me for purchasing their cover.     I was a little unsure of buying a warranty, but i am so happy now that i did! my tablet started to make a fizzling sound and i called squaretrade, they gave me a step by step guide on how to send the tablet to them ( freepost ) and within 10 days my claim was paid, very helpful staff and the customer services were amazing, they kept me informed, via email, on exactely what was happening with my claim When i explained about the fizzling sound, the guy on the phone didnt treat me like a female know nothing, which is what i was kinda expecting with my explanations of *well, it sounds like a ... more

    I did not take out extended warranty cover immediately and waited until I had received my camera. I found that the manufacturer's standard warranty for 1 year did not cover accidental damage as standard. I registered the manufacturer's warranty anyway and a few days later they posted me an offer of extended warranty which, if I took it out, would give me accidental damage cover from the start. I then checked out extended warranties on the Web, and found that Square Trade offered exactly the same cover as the manufacturer's warranty, but at about 20% less.     I purchased Square Trade warranty for my new LCD TV from Amazon marketplace. Soon after purchase, I received a confirmation email. The next day I had a call from customer services to check whether I had received the email & confirm start date. I was also advised to forward my TV purchase receipt by email for their records for paper free claims if needed. I then received paper version of documents by post & an email confirmation that my TV invoice has been registered to my warranty account to facilitate quick claims if needed.Overall the service was excellent & professional.The ... more
