Advantages Advantages carries quality from fender

Disadvantages Disadvantages on the basic side

What can i say? this guitar offers many good-points compared to its few bad points. My first bass guitar was a squire P-Bass and for an entry levle guitar, it was ample, in fact, it was just about ample for more than entry levle: Good-points: This guitar carries forward many features of its slightly more sophisticated Fender brother, including similar component parts and construction methods. Examples include: -high-quality dot inlays on the rosewood fretboard, -alder body, -standard Fender Super 7250ML strings (some of the best ive ever used), -chrome hardware. As a consequence of this, the P ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap, Good sounding for the price.

Disadvantages Disadvantages You will outgrow it

This is the Bass that I learnt to play upon, and really thats what I would recomend it for. It's cheap, reliable and most importantly produces a fairly good sound. And although it's not the best looking bass and certainly not the best, it is ideal for those who want to learn to play as it doesn't require too much outlay and is actually quite good for learning upon and when you smack it against walls by accident it wont cause too much damage, he he. Cheapness is great and for a product of this qaulity, it is not deserved, but try not to pay more than about £130-150 for the bass and make sure ... more

Advantages Advantages Good weight, size and price

Disadvantages Disadvantages A bit ugly, 20 frets

This was my first bass and to be fair it was a good one, it's got a good sound, it looks ok (unless you drop it as soon as you get it) and it's a good price for a starting bass. I wouldn't however, reccomend this to more advanced bassists as it's a definate starters bass. This is the second lightest bass i've playd (next to the tanglewood rebel, which is much to light) in my oppinion this is almost the perfect weight and size, although it only has 20 frets(not to much of a draw-back though as if you're starting i doubt you'll go past the 14th). All in all this is a great starter bass and i ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap, Ideal For Beginners, Comfortable Shape

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Some faulty/cheap/nasty parts

I first got my Squier P-Bass almost two years ago and I still play it today. It has been through many injuries fromt that day but I can still get some nice sound out of her. What lets this bass down is the fact its cheap production means some components are cheaply made. For example the tone and volume knobs fell off within weeks of purchase. The actual sound of the bass is good for the price (with one of my friends commenting it sounded better than his Fender Mexican P-Bass). The electronics seems stable at first but the jack let me down. When jamming my guitarist stood on my jacklead and it ... more
