    Advantages Advantages lower fat

    St Ivel utterly Butterly...... I used to only use St Ivel Gold and would never dream of having another margarine spread. However since the sudden disappearance of Gold I have had to find alternatives to use and have now gotten used to using any spread really. I opted for this particular one this time because it was on a buy one get one free offer which made the price of £1.20ish far more reasonable. The tub which the spread comes in is fairly singular to the shape of the old St Ivel gold but really that is where the similarities end.     Advantages Advantages Spreads easily..can be frozen..good value..

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Taste is not as rich as I would like...

    During a recent online shop I ordered a tub of my usual brand of buttery-flavoured spread which was unavailable. The supermarket in question delivered a substitute item which happened to be a 500g tub of ‘St Ivel Utterly Butterly’ spread. Having not tried out this particular brand of buttery spread before, I was unsure what to expect but as I had ran out of butter at home, I felt I had little choice but to accept the substitute item on this occasion.     Advantages Advantages tastes nice enough

    Disadvantages Disadvantages bit more expensive for not much different taste

    When I have Toast I just like to have Butter on it. On the odd occassion I have Jam, but I guess i'm not that adventurous in that way. Just a nice scraping of the yellow stuff and that is good enough for me. We always have proper Butter in the house, which I prefer to this stuff, but the wife does some baking sometimes, and we always either have this on the other brand named one of this. I use this now and again, not just because the Butter has run out, but because I like the different taste of this. It still tastes Buttery, but just not quite as much.
