Advantages Advantages Leaves skin silky and ready for self-tanning products

For all of you who have read my explorations into the world of sunless tanning you will know that thorough exfoliation BEFORE applying any product is essential for a good result. This means that no matter how much you fork out for a fake tan, the result will almost always be dodgy and somewhat streaky. To help me get the elusive natural tan, without the streaks, I reached for a bottle of St Tropez Body Polish (which is Step 1 in the ST sequence; Step 2 is moisturising, 3 the actual application of the fakie) about 2 years ago when I first tried the ST (St Tropez) range. I got this a part of a ... more

Well, whether you are a self tanner, or just like super smooth skin, exfoliators really are a must have for any girls product collection. If you’re anything like me you’ll have plenty of un-used bottles! Ha! What is the product for? >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> This is the polisher, and its part of the St.Tropez range. There are 3 stages to applying the St. Tropez tan itself. For optimum and the most natural looking tan it really is essential to follow all 3 stages. The first is exfoliate, second moisturise and third is to tan it up! You really cannot blame the product for not being perfect ... more

    Advantages Advantages Great body scrub

Disadvantages Disadvantages More expensive than other brands

It's that time of year again...lots of parties requiring strappy frocks and sandals. EEK!! Frightening-it also sadly is the time of year when I should NOT show my white body. Sad fact is, the last time it saw sunlight was August. However, am I dismayed? Not a bit of it because I am a St Tropez convert. Whereas once upon a time it would have been the sunbeds, three years ago, I had my first professionally applied S.T. tan and was hooked. Now I am so good at it that I can "go it alone" WHAT DO YOU DO? There are 3 stages to applying the S.T. tan and yes, the best, most natural looking tan is ... more

Advantages Advantages Beautiful colour, smell, results...!

    Disadvantages Disadvantages bit expensive...

I'm so impressed with this product. it's actually the best in the business. I have used radox, imperial leather, boots organics... all those brands.. then onto the mid-range brands like Simple, Sanctuary etc.. and yeah, the higher the price, the nicer the product, but not always the better. Often these products can be around 10 or 12 pounds. Why not give it the extra 3 quid and splash out on St Tropez Body Polisher? It's good enough for the beauty salons, and it's better than the cheaper body scrubs...and this is why: I love the feel of it on my skin as it is never runny, it's never too thick ... more

    Advantages Advantages Baby soft skin

Disadvantages Disadvantages It runs out pretty quickly

There are three steps to the St Tropez tanning system; the Body Polisher is Step 1. The Body Polisher is an exfoliator, which you need to use as the first step of your self-tanning adventure. It comes in a jazzy black and white bottle with the name St Tropez running down it. The polish itself is a turquoise, extremely thick lotion with round beads which will remove any dead skin from the surface leaving a smooth base ready for tanning. The beads are completely smooth so you won't get that awful scratchy feeling that you get from some exfoliators and the frangrance of the product is quite light ... more

Advantages Advantages Smooth skin, improved complexion

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

I purchased the St Tropez trial pack kit. I did not think much of the tan as it came out greenish first of all, but after a second application it looked a little better colour, but still not what I was looking for. Anyway, I loved the body polish the first time I used it. It has a lovely blue colouring with exfoliating beads in, and a pleasant fragrance. It left my skin feeling silky smooth, and improved my complexion. Although I do not use St Tropez tan anymore, I always buy the skin polish seperatly (costs roughly about £9) and use this instead of exfoliators I used to use. Nothing I have ... more
