Advantages: easy to use, doesnt streak, doesnt go orange Disadvantages: none that i can think of
...present in self-tan products. The St. Tropez self tan also has these present.
What i think
~~~~~~~~
Personally i love this product as i love the colour and how even the application is. Im not too bothered about the price either as there are more expensive brands out there and some of them dont even come close to St Tropez. I love this product and would recommend it to anyone. Especially if you have very fair skin like me.
Advantages: Easy 'pat & dab' application Disadvantages: You need to be a bit bendy!
Walking through a large department store with my Mum we stopped at the St Tropez display stand as I was telling her about how good the St.Tropez products were when all of a sudden my Mum was pounced upon by a black-clad rep and asked if she'd like to have her bare arms sprayed. Caught like a rabbit in headlights she had no choice but to agree and before she knew it she was perched on a very high stool and a crowd had gathered to point and watch.
... ...they used a compressed airgun to apply the product but it gave an instant tan, didn't smell chemically and dried in the blink of an eye. The rep explained how best to apply the product - you get best results if you 'spray and pat' with a St Tropez mitt (although a flannel would do the same job) and not 'spray and wipe / rub' or you'd end up streaky. Being the easily led person that I am, I bought a bottle (£30 for 270ml). Being of saner mind and ...
Advantages: Natural look, no 'false tan' smell Disadvantages: Application isn't as easy as I'd hoped
I grew up with naturally olive skin and people telling me all the time how lucky I was not to suffer the angst of the dreaded pasty look. Yet when I reached my late teens, I started to take an interest in the concept of tanning. Foreign holidays left me looking sun-kissed and healthy, and feeling confident enough to head out with my skin naked of makeup. Unfortunately it would only last a couple of weeks at the most so soon I started to make regular ... ...on the sunbed.
As I've got older, I've begun to take the dangers of the sun more seriously, particularly the negative ageing effects. I've been consumer testing a variety of products but many have left me orange, patchy, smelly and unstisfied with the result. Not to be defeated and inspired by the glowing results achieved by celebrities, I decided to splash out and try St Tropez.
I invested £20 in a 270ml bottle of Instant Self Tanning Bronzing ...
Advantages: Really Natural Looking Tan Disadvantages: A Bit Pricey (but worth it)
Unfortunately being a gay male I have to compete with the body beautiful's of this world and so have spent most of my teens onwards looking for the perfect false tan.
Well at last I think I've found it.
I've tried everything from Soltan, Pizz Buin, Clinique non-streak bronzer (a.k.a gravy browning) and I have to say that the St Tropez mist is definately the best.
The average price is approx £30 and although it's probably more expensive than the ... ...can get Piz Buin for about £15 but who wants to look orange? (unless your that duke off the antiques programme).
Unlike a lot of other tanning products, this one does actually give you a natural looking tan. Quite a dark brown colour (depending on how long you leave it on). Some tanning products are great for boosting an existing tan but not so good on pale white skin. This one on the other hand is ideal for both. The spray is a fine water like ...
Advantages: The streak free tanning effect and very advatageous as you can see where you are putting the product Disadvantages: Drys very fast which can sometimes be too fast to keep up with and can cause streaks if not fast enough
I have used the St Tropez bronzing mist and have found it to be the best tanning prduct that I have ultimatley used to date. I have used many tanning products from products such as Le Tan and nutrogenas version of a fake tan and before trying the Jungle Bronze self tanner and it was also very good but this St Tropez Bronzer is even 100 times better. I now have all my friends using it, It does not leave you with that horrible smell that most self ... ...advantage of being tinted so you can see exactly where you are placing it on your body and get the perfect "natural looking" tan, and no sun cancer needed. Basically I exfoliate and moisturise about half an hour before using it I then use gloves to buy the product, and you can use any decent gloves, moisturiser and gloves. I have not tried the St Tropez ones but I dont think they really would make any difference as you can achieve the same result ...
Advantages: Brand name used by celebs Disadvantages: Doesnt last very long
Having heard lots of review on the amazing at Tropez I decided to give it a go myself. Having used several other self tanning creams to no avail I decided to go and get the St Tropez mist treatment applied in a salon, I need something to help this pastey skin.
I enter the salon and explain I am here for my treatment. I am taken into a small room and given a pair of paper knickers, yes I did say paper, they reminded me of the tracing paper loo roll ... ...and not too comfortable either and was told to get undressed and put on my wonderful knickers but hey I was not on a fashion show I was being tanned.
Anyway the beautician came into the room and asked me to stand in the middle of the room with my arms slighty lifted, felt as though I was in a yoga class rather than a beauty salon. Then she began to spray me with this mist, working all around my body, over my face, down my chest, stomach, thighs ...
Advantages: No Streaks, Fast Dry! Disadvantages: Not long lasting, Needs a couple of coats
I used to be a mad fan of sun beds, but when I fell pregnant I went on to use self tan to still get that sun kissed look.
I tried and tested many products on the market, including St Tropez Lotion and mouse but this was by fair the best.
I found St Tropez Mist very easy to use. It doesn't take long for your tan to appear plus it's dry in less than 5 minutes. With its dark colour application you can see where and where not the tan has been applied. ... ...to reach areas is made much simpler! Using the tan applicator gloves, which I do recommend! I got a great smooth finish with no streaks and no orange hands, and plus it looked really natural!
At £38 a bottle from boots it is quite expensive, but I find that it is the best self tanning product that St Tropez offers. And if you save your advantage points you can get it on card!!
The down pointers were that with myself being olive skin I found that ...
