Sometimes, I don't want to drink a beer that's overly complex. Sometimes, I just want an easy-drinking brewski that, although it's maybe not the most fascinating beer in the world, is still a top quality product. Today, it is the Czech Republics top selling beer and is sold in many countries all over the world. I hear that is very popular in Ireland, sold almost as frequently as Guinness. It is now widely available in many UK pubs and clubs and is reasonably priced too. Right, enough with the introduction, now to the important part of any drink - the taste! At 5% ABV it is mid strength lager and it tastes great. Although its full bodied, Staropramen is smooth and surprisingly light ... more
