Some time ago, I reviewed an audio book version of Stephen King’s “LT’s Theory of Pets”, which was, at the time, an unpublished story read by the author himself live at the Royal Festival Hall. At the time I was disappointed that the introduction to the tape suggested there would be questions at the end but that these weren’t included on the reading. However, there was then, and is now, a tape in existence called “Stephen King –Live!” and the information from Amazon on this release suggested that it may be a recording of the whole show. If you are a fan of Stephen King then you will love this live recording. It has a great section of questions by Muriel Gray in which she asks him about his work and his life, which gives you a feel for the 'real' person, not just an anonymous author. The audio also has the man himself reading a short story, 'LTs Theory of Pets', which I believe has never been published, and gave me a feeling of priviledge to have the honour to hear him read it, even though I thought the story rather odd, but then again a lot of his work is odd or should I say unique, and I suppose this is what makes him one of ... more

Stephen King is an excellent author. He has given to us a wide range of extravagent and intricate novels which, when read carefully, give the reader a sense of being involved in the story. In August 1998, Stephen King read live at London's Festival Hall. He read an unpublished story and he answered questions about his life. This audio tape is a recording of the event which took place!
