    Ordered a skincare item from Strawberry. Contacted the original company lancome with the batch number to make sure its not expired. Cream was made july 2004 so its over 3 yrs old. Lancome said a product if unopened is good for up to 3 yrs so this item sent by strawberry is expired as of this month. Would take about 4 months to use cream so this is not a fresh item as the website states. Iam disappointed. Hope they will refund money or send me a replacement. Will let you know!     My friend uses this site to purchase gifts for his family and friends, and he showed me how much he saved on a recent present for his girlfriend, so when it came round to getting a birthday present for my girlfriend I decided to give it a whirl. I went through the website, which was quite easy to navigate, and found my girlfriend's favourite perfume, Hypnotic Poison by Christian Dior and made a purchase.     Great range of products and very good prices so I placed my first order to the value of about £50. Wasn't until after I'd placed my order that I saw the small print about "occasional" customs charges. Order arrived fairly quickly but with £22 charge payable upon collection. All in all it would have been cheaper for me to pay full price at my nearest department store - including car parking - and I'd have got some free samples!     StrawberryNet: UK Warning Duties around 30% of cost. Beware. I purchased a present for my wife cost £66 incl delivery, when it arrived I got a bill through the Post Office for £19.55 for VAT and an £8 Handling charge. Extortionate and the warnings on Strawberrynet website are wholly inadequate. If you live in the UK Beware of Strawberrynet they are Not Cheap. My advice wait for the January Sales or Duty Free at the Airport! Strawberrynet stated they would refund my Duty I am still waiting to see if this is the whole amount or they will try some Slimey ... more

    NO STARS******************had no idea my item would be coming from Hong Kong, probably because you pay in sterling and there is no suggestion thats where they are based so I was sucked in by the low price and free delivery in the UK, well I've learnt my lesson now as my product is nowhere to be seen weeks and weeks later, goodness only knows where is it because the tracking number I have isn't recognised, Strawberry NEVER reply to emails and I am pretty sure should it EVER turn up the customs charge is going to wipe out the savings.     This company is a con!!! I purchased 75ml vivienne westwood boudoir perfume from strawberrynet and never received the product, despite the money for the product being debited from my account the following day after I completed the order form!!! A confirming email was never sent to me, despite the website claiming it would, so I have no order number!!!! After speaking to many different people via emails ( as there is no phone number ) nothing has been resolved and Im out of pocket with no perfume!!! stay well clear of this company, you cannot trace them!!!???

    I have had a similiar experience with Strawberrynet charges as most readers on this site. I was hit with a postage charge and whats more the post office refused to give me a receipt for the charge. I cannot even claim a refund on this. Their customer care is clueless and they keep sending the same "canned" responses over and over again. I think they do not understand english well and are simply attempting to close the email at the earliest.

    DO NOT USE. I wish i had read reviews here. I ordered some perfume to be delivered as a gift. I had an email requesting a copy of a utility bill to prove my address so they could process the payment. This sounded very suspicious to me, as i've never had to do that on any website. I sent them a strongly worded email, and got an instant auto-response with the same address request. The website also does not recognise my order number. No payment has been taken as yet, so i will hopefully block payment and change ALL my numbers ... more

    This is just a note to advise anyone buying from the UK 'WILL' be charged CUSTOMS DUTY if the value of the goods purchased is over £18.00. StrawberryNet might at their discretion reimburse this cost although they state in their conditions they are not obliged to. So, do not forget to take into account customs charges for good over £18.00. I will add that StrawberryNet do not try to hide the fact that customs might have to be paid in some countries, to that they must be commended.     Strawberrynet is a high end, on-line cosmetics, skin care and fragrance e-tailer, with a large range of products for men and women. I have ordered a few items from strawberrynet. I have to admit the prices are quite good until the items are shipped , then you hit by a customs charge which makes buying the products from them pointless ,as after the charges they cost the same as they do in the highstreet!! Initially this site seems like a good idea , low prices , no postage fees, but to be quite honest if you did have to pay postage as well as the huge fees charged by customs, they would never ... more
