I often suffer from a sore throat and this is usually the first sign that I have a cold coming. Otherwise, I can also have a sore, dry throat from being in a dry environment – heated/air conditioned offices being a prime culprit. Therefore, I usually have some form of throat lozenge or tablet in my desk drawers to remedy the problem. One of the medications I find most effective are Strepsils. The one thing I hate having more than anything is a sore throat so I always keep some throat soothers in the medicine cupboard so as soon as the symptoms start to show themselves, I can give my throat some relief. First created and sold in 1958 strepsils are maufactured by Reckitt Benckiser and are made in Nottingham, uk.They contain 2 active ingredients, amylmetacresol and 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol. These ingredients are mild antiseptics, which can kill bacteria associated with mouth and throat infections and get this, it got its name "Strepsil" from the Streptococcus bacterium that causes certain types of sore throat.
