...them for this! Recently a Subway opened in our local shopping centre and since then it has proved extremely successful with the public. RESTAURANTS Subway restaurants come in all different sizes and shapes. Some of the restaurants are larger than others sporting lots of tables, chairs and sofa's situated around the food joint. Some of the Subway restaurants are smaller, more like a sandwich bar, with a simple counter of the sandwich fillings, and ...

Disadvantages: Can be more expensive, can be a lack of seats

...with the choice and overall Subway experience. >>>>>>>>>Flipping Students! I would be pretty surprised if anyone reading this has never heard of Subway. The Subway franchise now operates over 26,760 restaurants in 85 countries (that's more countries than I can name, by about 50!), 739 of which are in the UK and Ireland (400th in Ipswich) and the website seems to claim that there will be 2010 by 2010. When you were 17 years old what were you doing? ...
...the name was changed to Subway and the green and yellow logo was adopted. In 1975 the first franchise was opened in Connecticut and on Subway's 30th birthday its 11,000 franchise was opened. >>>>>>>>>Food? As you'd expect with the amount of Subway franchises there are in the UK let alone the rest of the world, each restaurant will be slightly different in size and layout. However, due to the franchise setup all the restaurants have the same recognizable ...

You choose from a selection of 4 breads and whether you want a 6 inch (which is half a sub) or a footlong (full sub). You can also choose whether you would prefer a wrap or even if you would just like a salad. There is a large variety of fillings, you choose whether ...

Advantages: Freshly made healthy sub rolls made on the spot
Disadvantages: Too many fillings to choose from

...suggested we went to a Subway before one of our visits to the cinema, I looked at her with a searching look "Where? Have you gone mad? What do you want to go to a subway for? Especially at night with that many weirdoes walking under them?" Here's me thinking about those horrible little underpasses under main roads where people walk through. "No," she said "not an under the road subway, subway, but the Subway restaurant, a place to eat." I was still ...

...shortly after, and the nearest Subway to where we lived was a 20 minute train ride away, so we managed to get there only the once. However, I moved office a year ago to find that there was a branch only 10 minutes walk away from my new workplace. Since then, I have discovered a further two within walking distance, and one just around the corner from my train station. They are quite literally springing up all over the place. ~ So what's all the fuss ...

Subway - My Sandwich Heaven

Advantages: Great tasting, low fat options, well priced sandwiches
Disadvantages: very popular, there's often a queue!

...I had never been to Subway before. I would drive past it on the bus on the way home from work and think "ooh that looks like a reputable establishment..." but I'd never been in. Maybe it was because of the whole "we make it fresh in front of you" - I don't mind picking out the bits I don't like, and didn't like the idea of being put on the spot to decide there and then whether I wanted to have red onions or not!!!! Well I just never went in! Of ...
...that I haven't had a Subway sandwich. I think that probably tells you everything you need to know. However, I'm going to tell you all the other stuff too!!! *****History***** Subway was started in America (who'd have thought it!) in 1965, and they say they are "committed to serving fresh, good quality and wholesome food" Not something you hear from American companies all that often. *****The Shops***** The shops are small, with bar-style seating ...

The Healthy Option?

Advantages: Cheap, Healthy(ish), Loads of chains, Good choice, Long openning hours
Disadvantages: Varying quality, lack of seating

So I first tried a Subway about 2 years ago. We'd just got a new chain in our town and I was pushed for time for dinner so I thought I'd try it. From the outside it just looked like a McDonalds or KFC. I have to say i was not convinced. To add to this, the whole process of ordering and choosing sandwich ingredients was completely alien to me and the signs on the wall didn't help. Luckily for me I was with some experienced subway-goers. As soon as ...
...again. Again with other Subway goers i visited the Subway in Manchester and discovered one of the best aspects of the chain. At 1am pretty much every eatting establishment had closed except for greasy chippies or kebabies which, to be honest, I was not in the mood for. However, in the distance was the gleaming white light through the windows of a fresh yet filling Subway. My Manchester experience was much more relaxed and satisfying, since at this ...

I don't want 6 people manhandling my Sub thanks!!! SUBWAY

Advantages: The food is cheap and fast and it's possible to eat healthy
Disadvantages: Too many experiences with non hygienic servers mean I wont be returning!

Subway has taken over the world or so it seems, there is at least Subway on most high streets in the UK. Officially the largest global single branded restaurant chain there are over 31000 branches worldwide - that's some monopoly! I remember when they first came to the UK, they were marketed as the healthy fresh fast food option, I guess in answer to the publics health fears about Macdonalds, Burger King et al. In fact there is a story used by Subway ...
...just by eating mostly of Subway sandwiches combined with exercise! THE FOOD: Set up in a conveyor belt type system, whereby you choose as follows: 1. Bread size (6" or footlong) 2. Bread type - includes wheat, honey oat, hearty italian etc. You can also have a wrap or a salad bowl 3. Fillings are wide ranging from hot such as meatballs to cold meats, cheese, veggie patties, chicken, steak and tuna. If you want that toasted you have that option. 4. ...

...but as it's in the Subway one, then it must be Subway, so a gold star and a Huzzah! Yes, it's true, the Golden Legged Whore has finally lost its grip despite accepting credit and debit cards, opening 24hrs, giving unlimited refills and trying to go healthy, it's on the slippery slope. At the moment Subway and McD's have around 1000 stores apiece, but Subway will overtake that by the middle of this year, and by 2010, aims to have 2010 restaurants ...

Either serving you along the service line or set at a certain position (e.g. toppings), Subway employ a variety of people from a range of ethnic groups, mostly under 25 years old. Service is provided with a smile and the vast majority of the workers can help with any questions about the food. The atmosphere is pleasant and friendly, ...

Subway

Advantages: Quickness, Taste
Disadvantages: Can be unhealthy, false adverts

Subway Review Subway is a worldwide chain restaurant with nearly 31,000 stores in 89 countries; it was created by Fed De Lua in 1974, an American from Connecticut. Most of the stores are quite small, the main product is ‘subs,’ short for submarine rolls, and sandwiches. Their main location is the United States, where they have most of their stores, however they also are based in many other countries, the main ones being Australia, the UK and Singapore. ...
...I can really give about Subway is that the adverts sometimes don’t match up to the actual food, for example we saw an advert for a fajita style sandwich, with stir fried Mexican chicken and vegetables, however the product that I got was cold with plain vegetables, not quite what I expected. Overall, it’s a great restaurant for lunch on the go, but watch out for those calories and false adverts! ...

Just Bread Roll With It

Advantages: Good Product, Well Priced
Disadvantages: Can be a bit hectic

...pretty satisfying for your lunch. Subway offers a choice of around five breads to make your sandwich with standard whites thrown in with my own personal favourite Italian Cheese and Herb. The health conscious among you can opt for the wheat bread, sadly I've never seen a wholemeal option which is a bit of a letdown. Once you have your bread, you choose the main filling that can be anything from chicken or turkey through to Tuna or maybe even Meatball. ...
...offers the customer a chosen subway sandwich on a given day for the grand price of £1.99 all in, this is a 6" sub which is more than adequate to curb that hunger. So when Tuesday comes along, I don't pack lunch because Tuesday is Meatball Marinara day. This for me is the best thing on the menu. For £1.99 I get a jam packed sub with tasty meatballs, marinara sauce and all sorts of salad topped off with cheese. There's a multitude of flavours in there ...
