Advantages: A Classic, Mini Games, hours of gaming fun, all of Mario's best bits Disadvantages: Multi player is a bit basic, Touch control can be tricky to master

The game begins with Princess Toadstool inviting Mario to her castle to sample the delicious cake she’s made for him. Mama Mia!

Advantages: Bright, crisp graphics, entertaining gameplay and massive longevity. Multiplayer function. Disadvantages: It is rare I say this, but I can find none!
Super Mario 64DS is a conversion of an old N64 classic. As a cutesy platform game it is an ideal conversion for the DS. With its simple controls, dual screen and wireless multiplayer possibilities the DS is ideally suited to this style of game and perhaps this is why Super Mario 64DS is by far the biggest selling DS game currently available.
As with all platform games there is little in the way of plot. The old adage of "princess goes AWOL" familiar ... ...The difficulty level to Super Mario64 DS offers a nice learning curve with initial levels being straightforward and later levels offering fiendish puzzles and the "leaps of faith" all platform fans dread. Fortunately, with a save option following every level progression is a rewarding, rather than frustrating experience. This is a game that should appeal to everyone be it for the simplistic minigames or innovative platform play. The two-player option ...

...all my beloved games including Super Mario 64 which was one of my favourite games (apart from Goldeneye.) While browsing through the new Argos catalogue, I found the game now avalible in the DS format. It would be great to have it again. ===What Is It?===

The game was released in 2004/5 which really surprised me as I had just not seen it before, I think I had just thought there was one overall Mario DS game maybe. The game is very common, and will be found anywhere that sells DS games. I got mine out of Argos for £29.99 which is around the average price for a DS game. ...

...Nintendo DS's ability, it took Super Mario 64 and gave it a touch screen responsive control system. That was its first wrong move. Although you can adjust the controls to fit your needs, I found that the learning curve does take quite a while. INTRODUCTION
Mario DS is the first mario games to come out on the Nintendo DS. It is a platform game in which you get to control either Mario, Luigi, Yoshi or Wario. When you first start the game you will start off playing using Yoshi, then you will have to 'unlock' the other characters as you progress through the game. If you have played the old N64 mario games then you will notice that this is very similar, except what nintendo have done is port ... ...a good job on it. The game is even better than its predeccessor. It simply has more coins to collect and also it has something called Mini Games. I will come back to Mini games later.
GRAPHICS
The games graphics are fairly good. We know that the Nintendo DS graphics aren't going to be anything that you might expect on the playstation 2, but they are pretty good considering it can fit in your hand, and if you have a big enough one; your pocket! ...

The game is all about these power stars. Bowser and his 'baddies' have stolen all of the 150 stars (30 more than the original game) and locked them away in the castle's paintings. Then not to mention the increasingly hard to find, 'castle secret stairs' stars which are scattered around secret areas in and out of the castle.

Advantages: 3d better graphics then N64, good sound, good story, lots to do, extra minigames and characters to play as. Disadvantages: A mario game would not be a Mario game without a bad camera angle.
I remember the first time when I played Mario 64 on N64 I thought it was ok but seemed confusing as i always saw people with 150 stars. You would always be controling Mario, no one else. You'd get mad trying to do a certain level. You would tear your hair out trying to find the last red coin. ...we first got out N64, Super Mario 64 was one of the most well known and popular games, but it was always to expensive for our mum to buy us so i had to survive on stealing my cousin's version and playing it whenever my brother's weren't. Super Mario 64 DS was a Nintendo DS launch game. It is the same as the Nintendo 64 version. So why buy this?
The DS version of Super Mario 64 include THREE new characters to play as. They are Yoshi, Luigi and Wario. You will have to unlock these characters though! Each character has their own unique power ups and abilities that only they can do so don't think you can get away with just playing as Mario!

Every Nintendo Console should have its own Mario game, And the DS is no exception. When I picked up this game in the shop my first thought was oh it just the Mario off the N64 which would have been great anyway as that was such a good game! However this game is so much more than the original version as Nintendo have added stuff in to make it a great addition to the DS.
In the original you played as Mario (as normal) trying to save Princess Peach ... ...DS Version you get to play as Yoshi, Mario, Luigi & Wario who all have different moves available to help you through the maze of levels.
Another addition Nintendo have made is to add a number of minigames that become available as you progress through the game, these use the full functionality of the touchscreen and are just as much fun as the main game itself.

I got this game when I got my DS when it was released. It was also the first Mario game I bought. I absolutely loved it. I will describe the actual gameplay first.
This game stars the main four Mario game Heros: Yoshi, Mario, Luigi and Wario. In the beginning, Princess Peach has written a letter to Mario inviting him to the castle for cake. Mario, Luigi and Wario follow. Who would refuse cake?
Anyway, time passes and Yoshi finds out that the three ... ...the three mustached heros and Princess Peach, defeat Bowser and collect the 150 power stars. After rescuing Mario, Luigi and Wario, they become unlocked-each character has their own special abilities.
Along with the main Adventure, there are many mini-games which can be unlocked. You have eight at first, but after catching rabbits in the main adventure, you can unlock more-a total of thirty six. The Graphic are amazing for that of a handheld console. ...
