Review of Supercuts hair salon
Supercuts hairdressing salons are springing up in towns and shopping malls throughout the UK. The company operate on a no appointment basis, you simply turn up, book in and they do your hair. Men, women and children are catered for and the system seems to work for them.

Now, hairdressers and I do not mix. I last had my hair cut in 1990, other than when my other half cut ... ...I was walking past the Supercuts branch in the Weston Favell Shopping Centre, Northamptonshire, when a weird sensation came over me and before I had time to stop and consider, I walked in and asked if I could get a haircut. I was booked in and as the salon was fairly quiet, I was escorted to a stylist straightaway.

Advantages: No need to make an appointment Disadvantages: Unskilled, unstrained staff who look to process you as fast as possible
...the UK and dropped into Supercuts in Liverpool Street for my first haircut since moving to London. I'm a guy with medium length hair and like my hair to be shaggy with a lot of texture. When I went in I explained to the Brazilian guy who was doing my hair that I was growing it out and just wanted some texture cut into it so it didn't look overgrown but still wanted it to look shaggy. He proceeded to cut my fringe, back and sides straight across and ... ...would not recommend going to Supercuts as they obviously don't care about making sure their employees are actually able to do even the simplest of haircuts. You may be lucky and get someone competent but the risk of getting someone who has no idea what they are doing and shouldn't even be working in a salon is just too great. ...

...colour my hair. I telephoned Supercuts in Lakeside and was told they would be open late on Thursday evening until 10pm (perfect!) and was told that no appontment was necessary as they do not have a booking system, you turn up & they will let you know if they can fit you in. I checked on the phone they used Wella products as I had never been to Supercuts before.
I cancelled the appointment I had with the local salon and decided to wait until Thursday, ... ...making an appointment.
If Supercuts are so worried about anything going wrong when they colour hair maybe they should get customers to sign a disclaimer? Also, after driving all the way there they said that they did not have enough time to cut my hair and I would have needed to be at the salon by 7pm (there was a queue of one person and three staff working). I had been misinformed by the staff member on the telephone.

Quick review of Supercuts
Recently I had my hair cut at the Vernon Hills, IL SuperCuts location for the first time. Although conversation with Angie, the stylist, was minimal because she seemed to discourage my attempts at conversation, she did a fine job on my hair for about half of what I had paid on my previous visit to a fancier salon for the same services (shampoo, cut, and style). . I am pleased with the result, plan to return to her in a few weeks, and recommend going to her. ...

But if you want a big mug of coffee or a martini and people with bizzare hair and tight trousers cutting your hair for extensive prices visit high cost salons such as Toni and Guy. ...
