Advantages: Cheap, loads of kit, sporty look Disadvantages: not as refined as some....its a real drivers car
...pick it up from a Suzuki dealer in Huddersfield (Hilton Suzuki) which is a 9 hour all round trip for me. But I didn't care; it would give me a good chance to test out my new motor.
Sunday came and I finally got there, picked up the car....and what a beauty it is, there's hardly any of them around so you stand out from the beginning. The faired aches, spoiler and white alloys really give the car a racy stance. The Recaro front seats are soooo comfortable ... ...to drive, it does 0-60 in under 9 seconds, that's faster than the MG 105, Yaris T-Sport, Fiesta Zetec S, KA sport, Mini Cooper and the Punto 1.4 sporting as well as many more.
I must admit the Ignis is not as refined as some of its competitors, but you reaaaaally don't notice it once your behind the wheel. As soon as you put your foot down it puts a smile on your face, the engine sounds sporty and raspy and eggs you on to push it that little but ...

I purchased my car new the last day of march 2004 .and from the time of collection I have not looked back on the purchase. The test drive and ordering a week prior was very well organised being allowed to take the car for an hour with my wife on our own so we both could try out the little beast. I had chosen the sport model as I still wanted pleasure from driving a smaller car.

Advantages: Great Value for Money, very good safety features Disadvantages: Night lit red dash is a little 'in your face' but it can be turned down
...took delivery of the new Suzuki Ignis 1.3GL two days ago and I have to say it is much improved on the last model. In particular the safety spec is excellent for the price you pay. The interior trim is less plasticky than the old model. Although it falls into small hatchback class it feels like a bigger car (not too big) to drive. Because of the higher driving position the all round visibilty is very good ( I am only 5' 2") and for this reason I feel ... ...received from the Suzuki dealer was excellent and they weren't pushy at all.I think the car sells itself. After driving a Ford Fiesta this car drives like a Rolls Royce and I am turning a few heads! Test drive one and see for yourself, I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised. ...

Advantages: Economical, simple to drive, excellent visibility Disadvantages: dash is a bit 'plasticky', can rattle a bit over harsh surfaces
...purchased a one year old suzuki GL I am overall very impressed with the car. It has light steering good driving position, very nippy around town and i personally think it looks ggod too on the outside. The in car entertainment is OK I managed to have a CD player included with mine but although the CD player is a good quality one, the built in speakers let it down a bit but saying that its what I expected when I bought such a good value car.

The car starts up lovley and the engine sounds fine even in the dampness of the April weather. It does get a little niosy overabout 50 but then again I expected that to be the case
The dash is a little basic and loks plasticky but has all the usual functions ...

The Susuki Ignis is a nice car and represents very good value for money.
If you need a car that's economical, whilst still returning good performance, then take a close look at the Ignis.
I have owned a 5 door Ignis for 12 months now,and it has proved very reliable.I like the chunky sporty look, and it has received many compliments in this respect.
It,s quick of the mark, and very easy to handle, the steering being very light.Manouverability is impressive ... ...overhang' making these operations a cinch.
I have covered about 12000 miles doing mainly short journeys, and local stop starting when delivering parcels to my customers. My average fuel consumption would appear to be in the region of 43m.p.g.Acceleration,( 0 to 60 m.p.h.) I would judge to be about 12 secs, although I have seen figures quoted in a motoring magazine lower than this.
The trim is fairly basic though adequate, but what do you expect for ...

Advantages: Built like a small jeep! Disadvantages: indicators on the right hand side rather than the left
I bought the Suzuki Ignis back in Feb 2005 as a second hand car. I needed a bigger vehicle to enable me to have more space to take our dog out. Am very pleased with the Jeep. It's excellent on petrol, picks up speed quickly and holds a lot of lugguage. The back seat can be split and folded making it excellent for awkward loads. The other day I got two huge Border collies in the back, myself driving and my friend and my rather large Jack Russell in ... ...very impressed. Feels like a mini jeep without the expense of buying a 4 x 4. Recently needed two front tyres as power steering wears them quicker than non powrr steering vehicles. That cost me £25 per tyre. Was expecting to pay a lot more. Insurance pretty cheap as well. I used to have a Ka but too small for my needs. Being a shortie I can see the road ahead much better as higher up in the Ignis. Excellent family car! ...

Advantages: Acceleration, space, vision Disadvantages: Brake problem
I have owned an Ignis 1.3 automatic 3-door since 2003, and am pleased with it. It is comfortable, spacious, with plenty of boot room, and with the back seats down there is a large flat area for moving furniture. The interior is basic but smart enough. Although a little noisy, the auto is at home in town or motorway, and I'm pleased with its acceleration when overtaking. Petrol consumption is average. Generally I've had little trouble with it. BUT, ...

Advantages: Value for money. Size Disadvantages: Boring. Looks
The Suzuki Ignis is a reliable car which will take you from A to B with no fuss or hassle. Had the car for two and a half years and was highly reliable throughout this time. As regards its looks this car externally is not going to be a great head turner or get you noticed in the streets with its boring run of the mill shape and available colour schemes. Internally it is no different as Suzuki have stuck with what is quite a boring and unimaginative ... ...and it is a highly easy car to use. A car which will be sturdy and give you great reliability, recommended especially for a family looking for a car to do the schoolrun which with a large boot space could also be used for day trips or family holidays but may not have the street cred for what a new young driver would be looking for. ...

Our Suzuki Ignis Gl 3-door was bought new just over a year ago at a price many people would pay for a second-hand car. RELIABILITY & ECONOMY
It has been very reliable, and economical to run. Running around the countryside we regularly get 50 miles to the gallon. STORAGE
The back seats fold flat for loads of easy storage space, and the hatch at the back opens to the full height and width of the storage space, leaving nothing in the way of your loading.
... ...SERVICING
Suzuki garages all display a price board, so you know the costs well in advance. Servicing is at 9,000 mile intervals, and is reasonable at about £150 +VAT per time.

...in March 2004 fom a Suzuki dealer, as I needed a 4 door car with plenty of head room. This car has the look and feel of a more expensive car.
