    Advantages Advantages Gorgeous, fun

    Disadvantages Disadvantages handling

Three months ago bought a Marauder 800 - 1998 model in cream and red with 64 (Yes that's right 64!) miles on it - and I haven't stopped grinning. Its a long, low American dragster style cruiser with the usual flattish bars and sit up and beg riding position. It is also, without doubt, the most beautiful looking stock bike I've ever seen. The paintwork is a refreshing change to the usual black variations and there's as much chrome as you could want without overdoing the polishing requirements. Everywhere I park up heads turn and strangers want to talk about it. Riding is fun too. The low centre ... more

Advantages Advantages Looks, Size, Price and Handling

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Comfort and Sound

I love this bike.... I am a 5'9" 24 yr old female rider and this bike is a great fit! I love the forward set front pegs! They give my legs all the room they need..... The seat is not the most comfortable but it will do till I upgrade to a mustang seat. The exhaust is very attractive but also very quiet... at times that is good but I would like to hear a little more out of it. At first glance this bike has been mistaken many times for a Harley on looks alone. Of course when you get a closer look or hear the low rumble of the stock pipes it's obvious that it is not. As a fairly new rider I will ... more

5 Stars Quick review of Suzuki Marauder 800 by TheBoxer 17/07/2008
I bought a 1998 vz800 Marauder on e-Bay about 4 years ago. Since then I have added lots of chrome additions and have just added footboards as the final addition. I am sooooooooo pleased I went for the suzuklis and not an over-priced Harley. Acceleration is fantastic and with V&H slashcuts, the sound is amazing. I upgraded the seats to customized leather which makes them a lot more comfortable. A sissy bar also helps the pax stay on board when accelerating. This bike is outstanding value for money and also holds its value. If you like cruisers - you'll really like ... more

    Advantages Advantages beastly acceleration

    Disadvantages Disadvantages pilion riding

The Suzuki, a bike for life and this is a special treat with its great rarity and head turning ability. Today i went along to the run from New Briton to Clatterbridge(on the wirral) and in all the show i only two of the heart stopping bikes which is something to prowd of. The marauder is a great ride and runs like a dream but if the pilion rider hasnt got leathers on they could be left on the road with the seat slanting ever backwards. The amazing cruser in not one bit slugish but over 100mph leads to nearly getting blown off the back, the acceleration however is amazing and if you want speed ... more
