Advantages Advantages Fast and responsive, a great looker.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Limited boot space and rear legroom

I bought my Swift almost two years ago, it was first registered in 2005. On the outside the car looks great! Having bought my Swift in white it seems like no matter how many hours I spend polishing it the panels never shine, but that's my fault. The heated and electrically adjustable mirrors are great, and quite large for a car of its size. Adding a black stripe kit and spoiler is well worth doing and changes the look of the car completely. The 15" alloy wheels that came with this model look really good on the car though low profile tyres are a must to get the outside looking its best! The ... more

    Advantages Advantages Everything

    Disadvantages Disadvantages N/A

What can I honestly say about this car, It's fantastic! During the months when I was learning to drive, this was the car I started to learn in! Although I've been in other cars, and admired them this car really appealed to me. It's outside appearance is elegant and stylish without a doubt, you would have to be either blind or totally oblivious to dislike this car. The Interior of the car is outstanding, it's seating is soft and comfortable especially for long journeys. The gadgets onboard are my favourite without a doubt, you can even change the wind mirrors by using a little control knob on ... more

    Advantages Advantages Stylish and safe

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive

The Suzuki Swift is the first car I ever drove! My driving instructor had this car, in yellow, and I loved it! Firstly, the Suzuki Swift is really stylish! It is modern and sleek, as well as being a 'cool' car to have. Also, it comes in lots of fantastic colours, my personal favourite being dark blue. Secondly, the car is rather spacious. At first glance you might classify the Suzuki Swift as a small car, which technically it is. However, the interior is very spacious and does not have a cramped feeling at all. The car fits 5 adults comfortably, as the seats are quite big. This car also has ... more

    Advantages Advantages Nippy, Spacious, fun

Disadvantages Disadvantages High sided, small boot

Performance I had a 1.5 model and it was superb both in the city and on the motorway. it never struggled at high speeds down the motorway and overtaking was good. in the city the nippy 1.5 engine was more than enough to get me places and provdie an exciting ride. Driving Good amount of grip, but as its a high sided car the wind often took hold but not enough to cause an unpleasant ride. Space I am six foot four and i had plenty of space and was never squashed. Front seats were 60/40 folding with amble room in the back. The boot space is not the biggest but certainly adequate. Equipment My GLX ... more

Advantages Advantages Value for money, head turning looks, nice to drive

Disadvantages Disadvantages Small boot, fuel consumption seems not as claimed

A great little car. What value for money. Competitors in this calss with this spec level would be £2000 to £3000 more expensive. It drives very well, is comfortable and has a good build quality. The panels all have a nice fit, the paint finish is nice and the interior materials are good quality. The air conditioning is more effective than my previous car (a Corsa SXi) and the radio/cd player is of good quality. It is not all good however, the fuel consumption is not what is claimed. Intially it would seem to be about 35 mpg not the 43 mpg that is published in the brochure, however my swift has ... more

Advantages Advantages Neat and Nippy little car

Disadvantages Disadvantages Boot space is small

I purchased my brand new swift about two months ago now and I have to say so far I have been very pleased with my purchase. I paid a little over 10k for mine wich included the rear parking sensors as an optoinal extra. I have to say in my opinion it is a great car for the price you pay. I was not expecting all the fancy things you can get with a more expensive car because that was not what I wanted it for. The driving position makes you feel like you are in a much bigger car, and the ride is smooth and comfortable. The handling is light and agile, all the controls inside work well and are not ... more

Advantages Advantages fuel consumption, reactive to control

Disadvantages Disadvantages lack of power when moving off, cramp space at the back

After much consideration, I decided to put my money on a Suzuki Swift 1.5 Auto. It is more than a year since I have driven and I have not regretted the decision. The hatchback is responsive to my controlling. I am about to change lane or make turn without moving the steering wheel. Cruising speed and power is pretty good as well. However, the same cannot be said when I am moving off in a stationary position. The fuel consumption is pretty good. Given my driving habit of 60-40% City-Highway, I managed to get about 16km per litre of petrol. While this is a small car, it is quite spacious. But if ... more
