    1 Star looks good but is slow and noisy 31/08/2011

    Disadvantages Disadvantages slow, noisy and the scale is hard to read

    We bought this kettle from a local supplier in Bristol when our old kettle stopped working. Intially we were very pleased with the look and £30 was pretty much the same for all the stainless steel kettles. But it takes ages to boil, ages to switch off and is really noisy. So noisy you have to shout to have a conversation in the kitchen which means we'll be off out to buy a new one this weekend. Another triumph for UK engineering I'm afraid. We won't be buying Swan again. I hadn't thought of what you need to look for in a kettle but boiling time for a litre of water is certainly key. don't know ... more
