Advantages Advantages Gets rid of the dust and doesn't just move it about

Disadvantages Disadvantages bit pricey, but I don'y know how long they will last yet

The word had spread from all over the kingdom of planet Aitch. The dustmites gathered from all over the house to an emergency meeting. Bookshelvers, Cupboarders, CDers, Paintingers they came from all over the planet. Never before had the different races and species of planet Aitch gathered in a unified manner to discuss such a crises that threatened the very thread of their existence. Millions of the dustmites gathered in Livingroom Central and a hubbub of noise lingered in the air as they waited for the leaders of dustworld, these were the prestigious families that occupied the TV. Advantages Advantages Excellent for hard floors, picks up pet dander

Disadvantages Disadvantages replacement cloths are a bit pricey

A few months ago I replaced the majority of my downstairs carpets with laminate flooring. It certainly looks very smart and on the whole is easy to clean. When I bought the flooring the helpful chap suggested that I purchase a Swiffer. I duly trotted along to Safeways and came home the proud owner of the aforementioned article. It is a useful gadget with an adjustable handle. You wrap a special cloth around the base, which is jointed so it can work at any angle. It certainly picks up loads of dust, which according the box is electromagnetically attracted to it. You initially are supplied with ... more

Advantages Advantages Picks up all dust, very cheap.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Base could be bigger

I brought this product because my hoover would not pick up entirely everything from my wooden floors. I was totally amazed by how great it works. It literally does pick up all dust including hairs and has a great swivel action to twist into corners. It came in a small box and you simply screw the limbs together in order to make the stem of the broom. It only cost me £8 approx. It's ideal for anybody who has a dust allergy problem and/or wooden or lino flooring. This one of my best buys this year. I hardly use my hoover. ... more

Advantages Advantages Attracts dust and stops it flying around as you dust.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Quite expensive for a disposable item.

I quite fancied buying a Swiffer cleaning system, it looks fun on the TV, but the mop type thing would be a waste of money for me. I have got hardly any hard floors to use it on. But when I saw the Swiffer cloths on offer in my local Tesco, at £1.99 for 16 instead of the normal £2.99, I thought I would give them a try. You can use them for dusting by hand and thats what I do. The clothes appear very small but they are actually folded into four, which means when one side gets very dirty, you can turn it over and start again. They really do seem to attract the dust and whats more remarkable, it ... more

Advantages Advantages all the hair you need to knit a new dog

Disadvantages Disadvantages cloth gets clogged quickly

I always have a problem cleaning my kitchen floor. The trouble is that it really needs top be brushed and dusted before I can wash it, but that always seems too much like hard work, so I often attempt to simply wash it. This is harder than you might think as I have a rather large dog. The problem is that my kitchen floor is always covered in loose dog hair. I don't know how he does it but he always manages to drop hair on the way in or out. You can imagine the mess I get into when I attack this with a mop. There are bits of hair stuck all over and its hard to get them off. This is where the ... more

    Advantages Advantages quick

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

I have always found dusting a very mondane sort of task so those of you who are involved in the care taking of a home will completely understand that there are lots to do and not a lot of time to do it - after all there are only "twenty four hours in a day". When I saw Swiffers advertised on televsion, I was curious and wanted to find out if they were as good as they sounded. This may sound a bit corny but it is true - dusting has never been so easy. All you have to is simply glide one of these cloths along the surface ie. tv, video, bookcase etc. and all the dust clings to the cloth - easy ... more

Advantages Advantages It cleans up dust not brushes it around,Its also easy to use and is great for the elderley.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Quite exspensive.

At first i thought this looked a complete waste of money, i dont know why i bought it but now i dont konw what i would o without it.My dogs room is the Kitchen where he spends most of his time,he sleeps in the kitchen and plays in the kitchen while theres no one at home so he happily spreads all his fur around my kitchen floor. The Swiffer is great if you have a pet that spreads hair as it saves you getting down on your hands and knees. You wipe the floor using a long handle in which at the bottom is attached to your duster. The Swiffer has changable dusters which are quite exspensive but worth ... more

You can't fail to notice this product is everywere in its bright green box, the supermarkets are full of them all on special offer and I took advantage of this offer .At Tesco's they had £5 off the recommended price so we bought one as we have a tiled hall and im glad we did. You get a rubber pad on to which you attach the handle which comes in 3 sections that screw together and you also get a pack of 10 swiffer clothes wich just clip onto the rubber pad and away you go. Advantages Advantages Fast, convenient

Disadvantages Disadvantages doesn't pick up bits and bobs that vacuum does

I recently moved into a new place with all wooden, light maple floors. Moved all my stuff into my room and realised that I needed to give the place a good wipe down before I could set about decorating or making myself feel at home. I also realised that given the wood floors, I would probably be dusting a lot more than I had when I lived in an apartment with carpets. Already, I could see little dustballs scattered around, so i set my mind on some real heavy duty cleaning. A little hunt turned up no vacuum cleaner and I was about to despair when my roommate introduced Swiffer to me. At first, I ... more

Advantages Advantages That you can collect dust and throw it away.

Disadvantages Disadvantages I could not get it to do the static pick up like the T.V. advert.

I saw the Swiffer advertised on T.V and thought right I have got to have one. Went round a few shops and found that the price was varied, so I chose the cheaper priced shop naturally. Anyway got the swiffer home, Like the T.V ad stated it was easy to put together which was great no long instructions to make you go mad and more or less used it straight away. The only thing I couldn't get mine to do was the static pick up like the women does on the T.V ad, where she waves the swiffer across some hair the floor and it jumps up onto the swiffer but apart from that it collects dust and you can ... more
