Advantages: Quality, reputation, solid, diving potential, the tests they go through.
Disadvantages: Automatics are a nightmare, too expensive, can do a lot better, you wonder if yours was ever tested.

I've had a TAG Heuer 4000 series watch since 1997 and always wanted to write an opinion on it since I joined Ciao. Unfortunately, or fortunately, this is no longer available, but this opinion may be helpful if anyone wishes to buy a second hand one or if anyone was thinking of purchasing on at the sales. Advantages: Glass does not get scratched, looks good
Disadvantages: Poor reliability, expensive/ poor servicing.

I got my tag for my 18th Brithday, 7 years ago, it is supposed to be serviced (£100 a time) every '2-3' years, I have had to get it serviced twice already, and needs 'servicing' again, it takes six weeks to get it serivced). First time round, it slowed and stopped, sent it off, and was told that the hands and face were 'faded': cost £80 extra. ...lucky enough to purchase my Tag 4000 on ebay in 2003 from a seller in Switzerland, and I have NEVER had a single problem with the automatic movement. All it requires is wearing it everyday. If I miss a Sunday or the whole weekend, I might have to self-wind it to catch it up, but this should be expected with an automatic movement.
