...fight with my new shampoo… TiGi Control Freak. I’d love to have celebrity hair, but it’s just not a possibility. I’ve come to accept that, but Control Freak really is bringing out the best in my lank locks so let me tell you what I know.

TiGi were founded in 1971 to create products for Toni and Guy however, they now cater for all stylistic hairdressers, creating unique products to meet every need. Each product I’ve encountered smells good enough to eat, and certainly performs the task it is supposed to. The bottles and jars are designed to look fantastic on your dressing table. Tigi hair products were first manufactured in the late 70's, working closely with Toni&Guy salons, the company was to provide a limited range of products available only in the Toni&Guy group. It wasn't until the mid 80's that the company expanded further and took production away from Denmark to the US that the products became more widely available. Advantages: Smells tropical, detangles hair Disadvantages: Impossible to wash out, hair feels built up with product
My hair was in ok condition, although instead of being naturally straight or naturally curly it was somewhere in between, and I wanted it to be shinier as well.
I had read good reviews about tigi, so I searched online to find some for the best price. I had ordered from strawberry.net before and had had no problems, and on the plus side there is no p+p, and you get a slight discount after your first order. The shampoo and conditioner are expensive, ... ...that buying the bigger bottles (750ml) which cost around £10-11 were most cost effective. Strawberry.net warns you that there may be a small customs charge but since i had not had one the first time I ordered I assumed Id be ok, and at the most it would be £3-4. Well I was wrong they send things from Asia (which I didnt realise), and the more the product weighs the bigger customs charge. So my charge was nearly £12. Anyway the point of this is that ...

...with my latest purchase – TIGI Bed Head ‘control freak’ shampoo.
TIGI is a great brand that makes all kind of expensive hair care and styling products. It is sold “only in professional salons”, and you’ll be lucky to find a bottle of anything under 6 or 7 quid. They do everything from shampoo and conditioner to sprays and oils and mousses and serums. Basically if you have a feature of your hair that you don’t like they will have a product to sort ... ...great job.

Availability
TIGI products (including the Bed Bead range) are only available in salons. You might like to ring around to compare prices but after scouring the internet I haven’t found anywhere selling it cheaper than what I paid. I know that it is definitely available in Tony and Guy salons. You can also find it on the internet (often with free delivery) if you are feeling lazy.
Overall this shampoo ...

My hair is constantly suffering identity crises, it can never decide whether its frizzy or curly or greasy or what. At the moment its frizzy and I cant go more than 24 hours without needing to wash it again. I used to be lucky enough to be able to go three days with it staying clean looking, feeling, smelling. TIGI Bed Head Control Shampoo, something I decided to try after giving up on the useless Redken range that left my hair feeling completely drained of moisture and out of condition.
On the advice of my stylist I bought a bottle of the shampoo from the Tony & Guy salon for £8 for a bottle that held 350ml of the shampoo. Even though this was expensive to quote an advertising slogan, I bought it "because I'm worth it" and I wanted my hair back to the ... ...I'm very pleased with TIGI Bed Head Control Shampoo and will be buying it again when the bottle finally runs out. Hope this helps.

...getting paid. So i bought Tigi Control freak Shampoo and Conditioner.
The shampoo is around £8. When i first used it the first thing i noticed was the fragrance. It smells gorgoeous! (the fragrance is pineapple). I also noticed that it washed out of my hair a lot quicker than ordinary shampoos and left my hairy literally squeaky clean.
I wasnt as impressed with the conditioner as i found it had a plasticy pineapple smell and was more expensive ... ...a while, i did notice my hair was slightly smoother, by it wasnt a major difference. But it cleans your hair well, and definetly cuts the drying time.

I have a natural curl in my hair and its also highlighted so its quite dry. It's annoying it's not wavy enough to have curly hair, so I have to straighten it. I bought this shampoo as it was recommended to me by a hairdresser and ever since my hair is so much straighter and easier to style.

I have recently tried this shampoo for the first time and love it. Really fresh & fruity smell and leaves my hair soft and managable. I have used other shampoos in this range but have found this to be by far my favourite. Maybe it soesn't quite off the straightning effect that it states on the bottle, but it definitely controls my hair to an extent - and there are other products on the market to do this than shampoos anyway!
