T-Mobile has just introduced a new concept in Tariffs - the New Mates-Rates allows the T-mobile PAYG customer to talk to any other T-mobile customer anytime for just 5p/minute; a landline for 20p/minute, and any other network for 40p/minute; texts cost 5p to T-mobile customers and 10p to any other network. ===========================================================
I've been distracted by Billboards (Hoardings) for months advertising T-Mobile's ... ...I like my CURRENT (obsolete) T-Mobile tariff on my MT50 WAP contract phone [£20 for unlimited offpeak calls to T-Mobile and land-line numbers + £6 for 100 texts/month] too well to consider trying this option - if I want to telephone anyone in the daytime, I use my Nokia 3510i T-Mobile PAYG phone which doubles as a telephone directory/address book - and so I rarely go over my minimum spend per month.

Advantages: Saves lots of money if your friends are with T-Mobile Disadvantages: The tariff applies only if you call T-Mobile Numbers
...though :) its only for T-Mobile users. So this tariff applies only if you text or call T-Mobile users. Nowadays it is quite hard to distinguish weather you are calling a T-Mobile or other network because the person you are calling to might have a number that looks like T-Mobile but its not as they have switched to Orange or 02 using the number they used to have with T-Mobile. So its always better to ask!
I think this tariff saves you quite a lot ... ...which is much better in my opinion! That is why I have got another mobile with a monthly tariff :)
I think T-Mobile in general is a network provider that is a good value for money with quality customer service and good line quality! So - go for it!! ...

I have been a t-mobile customer for the best part of almost 6 years now and i can say they always find ways to make me satisfied with their service.mates rates is a great pay as you go tariff to be on, i mean come on 5p per minute calls and texts to all t-mpbile lines means that you can never miss a thing as the advert says and £10 credit can last if you only call t-mobile lines. However, there is a slight problem if you call other networks or land ... ...very expensive as the odd 20p and 40p will soon add up, and this may not be the price plan for you if you so call the land lines and other networks. t-mobile is still the cheapest network around and i definately get my money's worth from this price plan. ...
